back to school!

Hi,

diet going ok - went to tescos today and bought lots of healthy food so am set up for the week. I am going to try to go to the gym tomorrow and wednesday but will keep you posted on whether or not that actually happens...

we went on a course today (me and katie) which was meant to be really useful but was infact a pile of poo! didn't come away with any new knowledge and a huge loads of pointless handouts... ok so some of it was useful - ish but the lady doing the course was just sooooooo dull and repeated herself a million times so got boring very quickly.

I have also been practising my piano loads today which has been fun. I have been learning all my christmas carols because I need to get really good before december so that I can play in our KS1 Christmas play!!! tim is very impressed with my determination at playing silent night with chords but has now told me he needs a bit of quiet (I have been playing for the past hour or so!!) (I kind of understand as I used to get so mad at Ant playing piano for all hours of the day and especially over neighbours!!!) (god she used to annoy me... sorry ant but you really did!!!)

well better scoot, I may just go and have one or two more minutes of silent night...!!!!!!

big hugs from me xxxx

exploring the north!!

Tim and I at Barnard Castle - we explored it a little but before going to the wedding. The dancing was a lot of fun!!!
The band was amazing, it played 50's and 60's music
The first dance was very romantic
This is lynsay in her very sparkly dress, was very beautiful.
Here they are just about to start the first dance, spot the bridesmaid dresses? lynsay (bride) made them! she went on a few night courses and made them herself!!! they were brilliant, not sure I would have the patience... mum??!!!!!

Hi,

tim and I had a lovely weekend up in the north, we went to tim's friends wedding. Alistair and Lynsay (he was friends with Alistair through climbing at uni). They got married near Durham way. Was good fun and danced a lot, I did however drink far too much wine and am now never going to touch a glass of wine EVER AGAIN!!!

We then went down to York today to say hello to my friends Kate and Mark, but kate was in liverpool so we just popped in to say hello to mark and their cat billy. Tim and I then wandered into york to look in the shops and get some fresh air - I was suffering a bit today...

we are now back home and I am baking cheese straws to get a carbohydrate kick! I am not looking forward to going back to school tomorrow... I have had such a relaxing half term...

anyway enjoy the photos!

feeling better!

Here is one of my many lovely dinners I have cooked for tim this week - this is a roast dinner with glazed carrots in cider, pigs in blankets, potato gratin and chicken with a home made gravy!!! I know I am very sad that I enjoy cooking so much... I could easily be a stay at home house wife!!!! :-)
Hi,

i have had a lovely half term week so far except for being ill the first part of it. I am feeling much better now however tim is suffering a bit and is fighting a cold.

I have spent a lot of time relaxing and getting myself well again by watching a lot of DVDs and resting at home. I have cooked tim some lovely meals for when he gets home from work, I was hoping he could get some time off with me this hols but because he went to America he feels like he should really get going with his work. Never mind, I have enjoyed pampering him in the evenings!

We are off this weekend to a place called Greta Bridge near Penrith. It is for another wedding, one of tim's climbing friends. It should be fun but is a long drive. I hope tim is feeling better by then.

Diet going ok, not good but not bad. I have been to the gym 3 times this week since feeling better and it is giving me more energy already. I now have to go do some work for school next week as I haven't even looked at it since last friday and have a lot to do...!!!

feeling ill but doing ok diet wise!

Hey,

diet going ok, yesterday I had cereal for breakfast, jacket potato for lunch and pie, chips and beans for dinner. Not very good bu not bad!

Today I had cereal for breakfast and oat cakes with cheese for lunch followed by raspberries and blueberries.

Gym hasn't happened since Wednesday as I have been battling a cold and sore throat and tummy upset... it so sucks sometimes because I got ill a day before half term and am now going to be ill all of my holiday, I am bound to be feeling better the day school starts back again...

I will go again as soon as I feel better, have stayed in as much as possible today and am going to have yet another early night tonight so hopefully I can get rid of these germs!!!

I weigh 10 stone 5lbs. My weight is almost back up to what is was before loosing weight in the summer... I know it's not huge but am not feeling attractive at the moment. I want to loose half a stone and feel sexy in my little black dress at christmas time. Any inspirational and motivational ideas please do blog me, I need a lot of help!!!!

Ok so I know this is something I should be doing regularly but am proud of myself as I have just got back from a body combat class at my gym! was only 45 minutes long and was very good!

I will try to go every wednesday from now on whilst tim is at hockey and as of next week (half term) I am going to try out some other classes and find a few more I like!

better scoot have talked enough today - just wanted to share how proud I am of myself!

bye xxx

back to the beginning...

Hi,

so when I started my blog spot I wanted it to be a chance for mum and ant to see what I was up to and now I have more friends reading it which is nice, I have however gone off the whole point of doing a diet diary! I think I was so focused for the summer hols cause of wanting to wear bikinis on the beach and looking sexy in slinky summer clothes. Since the end of the summer I have really gone crazy with enjoying my food and not doing a single ounce of exercise and I have put back on most of the weight I initially lost... :-(

My own fault I know... :-(

So anyway, I have spoke to my mum and have decided that if I want to do something about it I need to start right here and right now! So tonight I am going to pack my gym bag and start a fresh new gym regime!!!! argh!!! I am going to weigh myself tomorrow and announce it to you all as inspiration to loose a few pounds. I don't want to loose much, just enough to make me feel a bit more attractive again... like I did in the summer!

well there you go that's my thoughts... it will also be nice to have something to focus on that isn't school work... I am bored of stressing out about teaching and need half term to happen. I need a break! I am going to have the whol eweek off and just work solidly for two days near the end of the week on planning and sorting myself out for next half term. I think after having a week to recuperate it will actually be a pretty good term building up to christmas!

chat soon to you all, big hugs, gemma x

(ant if you have any inspirational tips call me!!!)

Hi, I have just had another good wekend after a madly busy week at work with parents evenings and governors meeting til late. I am pleased it is all over and now I have just one week until half term. Tim and I might be going away for some of it, one of his friends is getting married in somewhere near durham so that will be fun!

So this weekend anna and kate came to stay which was lovely, we had a lot of time to gossip and went to the wedding show at the NEC followed by a gorgeous meal at the thai elephant is leam, such good food!!! We drank a bit too much and I felt very ill this morning, a breakfast at weatherspoons helped...!

the wedding show was good fun, anna and kate are both getting married next year so was good for them to get ideas and stuff, the fashion show was good to watch too! (I got lots of ideas for my dream weding too... don't tell tim!!!)

good weekend

Us ready for our night out... (do you like my new top from french connection???)
Us posing!
Brighton sea front, was a lovely sunny day but the colour hasn't come out that well!

Hey,

I had a lovely weekend but am shattered now! I went out on friday night with katie and tracey from work and got more drunk than I realised! Woke up on saturday morning with a big hangover headache...!

Then once I had recovered I drove down to pick up helen and on to anna's in brighton. We had a lovely day chatting and shopping, was good to catch up. Anna updated us on all her exiciting wedding plans and we drank a lot of sparkling wine followed by an amazing meal in a vegetarian restaurant. I wasn't too sure about it but was so good, i would recommend it to anyone. The way they put the flavours together was just incredible, my mouth was having a party of tickling taste buds!!!!

So was suffering again this morning but made it safely back home to slob on the sofa in my dressing gown watching when harry met sally - I love that film!

So now I have officially done no planning and have a crazily busy week ahead... I will wangle tomorrow and sort myself out on monday night!

big hugs to you all, gemma x

hi there people!

Hello,

I tried putting photos on but my computer is just being far too slow today and is stressing me out so have given up!

Tim and I had to put our heating on today for the first time this autumn! I can't believe the summer is really over and we are going back into a cold winter. It lasted so bloomin long last year and the summer just whizzed by! I am however the kind of person who does get excited about season changes and I just love christmas, it really is my favourite time of the year by far so I guess I can just think that christmas is just around the corner and that may make the weather turning cold more bareable!

School has been good this week. Madly busy again but I think that is just how it will always be... I am enjoying my new management position and I hope I am doing it well. I think I am but you never know! I will keep working hard and just see how it all turns out.

I have just done my planning for next week tonight! How organised am I!!!!??? It's becuase I am off to anna's in brighton this weekend and I just know I will be late back on sunday and need to get myself sorted now so that next week will be a good one too! It's parents evening and governors meeting next week so will be a late night every day busy week! ARGH!! not looking forward to it, then it's assessment week at school followed by a bloody well deserved week to unwind (ha ha! like that's going to happen!)

I do like my job - I just need reminding once in a while why I am doing this not a 9-5 no homework and no weekend work job!? remind me????

I hope you are all well and happy whoever is reading this!

Ant - update your blog please or call me!!!!
Beth - update your blog please even if you don't have photos I want to knwo what you are up to!!!??

hugs to you all, gemma x

fab weekend!

Hello,
so this weekend has been the best weekend I have had in a long time! I just feel like I have relaxed and chilled out after a crazily busy week.

It all started with tim and i going out for dinner on friday, was very romantic and just was good to sit down with him and be cooked for and chat all night long!

Then I went shopping on saturday morning in stratford whilst tim was at hockey. Was so good to go round the shops and I even started my christmas shopping! I was watching a programme the other morning with lorraine kelly and they were chatting about not spending all your december pay cheque on christmas and how you should start thinking about it now. So... I did! And I have half of my pressies sorted already!

also the gorgeous farmers market was on so I bought a heavenly hog roast bap with stuffing and crackling...! so naughty but so incredibly delicious!!!

I then joined a gym and went for my first workout since the beginning of the summer, felt so much better afterwards then tim and I had another great evening of watching x factor, lost and the fifth element with a lot of wine! fab!!!

so today, another great day,
I have been to my first ever yoga class which was great!
then I have been slowly doing my planning at the same time as plannig a holiday next year with tim. We are thinking of doing a skiing holiday with his sister and her boyfriend. Would be great but need to find out about costs first! (damn school holidays!!) would be good if we could.

now I am currently doing this, then numeracy planning, then I am going to bake a cake for school tmorrow! what fun!!!!

hugs to you all...

here's a few more photos of the wedding...

Dave, tim, sarah and katie in the evening me and tim, I had to 'trim' this picture as my arm looked the same size as my body!!!! argh!!!
the dance! was wonderful... the dance!
Sarah and her flock of bridesmaids, they really did all look so stunning!
