Here you go Ant! seeing you've been asking for more photos today (sorry mum you can see my tummy I know you hate that!!!) I still think the photos make me look bigger than I am in real life, not sure why? (although they do say the camera adds ten pounds)
Tim has been in the garden sorting out things ready for spring, it looks so so so good! All the old christmas tree roots are now dug up and lots more! I have had a restful day which I needed after a mad week at school. I have really noticed not having a student to help me around the classroom but am getting back into the swing of it. Parents evening the week after next which will be shattering but we have been given the friday off as a stay at home inset so that makes up for it!

Well I had better scoot, chat soon, hope you like the photos ant will take more tonight as tim and I off out for dinner for my birthday!!!

Hello
sorry it's been a week or so, I have had a busy half term and now back at school with a long to do list already!

Half term was fab, I saw laura, fi and baby william on Thursday (see above william playing piano, he is very talented!), then popped to leam on friday to see katie, tracey, candy, jill and baby christopher! Then we had Dave, Vicky and Katie to visit at the weekend! Was a week full of catching up, lovely!

Here are my photos - I didn't take as many as usual as we were all too busy gossiping.
Katie and her daughter Phoebe holding baby Christopher, he is very cute and his legs are both still all curled up. I can't quite believe tim and i will have one in a few months time...!!
Here he is in his bouncer, I have been looking on different websites and have found one I like at babies r us!
Of course I can't blog without putting at least one photo on of my boys...
Tim, Dave, Katie and Vicky at Dovedale. Was a gorgeously sunny day (tim and I had spent the morning sitting in his greenhouse on a deckchair - tim was actually doing something I jst sat! was so hot and sunny) but on the walk the wind was rather chilly!!!

So back at school and busy already so I should scoot really, need to have an early night as I have a busy day tomorrow!

Chat again soon, Gemma xxx

p.s. bump growing still will put photos on soon Ant and Beth, promise!!!!

So we have moved our dining room table into our finished dining room (well except the floor but we will do that after the kitchen is done as we want the dining room and kitchen to become one large room rather than 2 seperate rooms)

Until the kitchen is done we have the fridge still in the dining area but we have moved it over. It actually looks quite spacious!
The photo below kind of shows the colour, it is a green colour but a light reflecting one so when the camera flashes it looks white.

We are going to save some pennies to dress the room with a large mirror from ikea (we know which one we want, it is very large but I think it will look quite stunning) and some prints ant gave us.

Now the table is out our lounge it looks huge again! I do love our lounge, it may very well be my favourite room at the moment in our house...! Einstein clearly loves the space too!!!
Well I am on half term and loving it! I had another spending spree today (baby stuff yet again!!! he he he!!! a cot mobile, blankets and sheets for cot/moses basket) but I am now going to spend the rest of the week planning, cleaning and washing! I am also seeing Fi, Laura and baby William on Thursday and then I'm popping to Leam to see Katie on Friday! what fun!!!! Oh and Dave, Vicky and Katie are visiting us at the weekend, YEY! I love being busy!

chat soon, Gemma xx

p.s. Aaaaaannnnnnttttt.... still waiting for your blog to be updated please! I like reading your news. xxx

Another weekend of shopping!!! oops!

Tim and I travelled down to Rugby this weekend to a discount shop that our friends Laura and David recommended. It was fab to spend some time being shown different kinds of travel systems, how to put them up and put them down, how to fit the car seat etc etc. It was a bit overwhelming the last time we went however this time the lady was really helpful and knew what she was talking about. We had found one on the internet we really liked the look of but in reality it was HUGE and very heavy. In the end we chose one which fitted exactly what we wanted - very manouverable, shopping bag storage underneath, the car seat fits into the chasis facing whoever is pushing and the other pram bit can face fowards or backwards and is suitable from birth to 3 1/2 years! It really is fab!

Here is it facing away from us for when the baby is much older (until then I want to chat to it, facing me, when it is in its pram)

Here is the car seat fitted in to the frame. We now need to buy the bit that stays in the car then the car seat clips in to it. This baby business is a rather expensive one!

We have also been building nursery furniture today, we now have a chair in the nursery (sorry for me looking so 'whale like' in my defense I had been building a set of drawers and have a baby slowing me down!!!!) ...

And a chest of drawers which we will use as a changing table...

Mum has been knitting fab blankets - here is one of them, it is so so soft. And Granny bought us a hooded towel blanket which is so soft and cute, this baby is going to be very spoilt!!

We also found this very funky and colourful baby gym at the discount store place down in Rugby, I love it! It plays mozart music too!!!

Well no more news from us, our dining room is now finished so we will take photos as soona s we put the dining room furniture in there. Oh and we would like to buy a mirror to go on one wall and I need to frame some art work that Ant gave us last year which will also look great in there. So much to do!
I must say I do like to get organised now, as I am starting to feel uncomfortable sometimes, I can imagine in a month or so not wanting to be doing much furniture building or DIY.
Chat soon, Gemma xxx
p.s. Ant update your blog!!!! xx

Here you go Ant more photos as asked! Me at 24 weeks, my belly button is kind of level now, getting ready to pop out! All the kiddies at school stare at my tummy when talking to me which is funny, they are so intrigued by it all. My lower back is a bit achey in the evenings but other than that am still at a really lovely stage with not too many horrible symtoms. I love feeling the baby kick still, am waiting for it to move positions as I always get kicks in bottom centre and bottom right hand side of my bump, not had any on left side or top of bump yet so must still be the right way up! Will be strange to feel it kicking upwards!
Congratulations to Catherine (ant's friend from school) who had her little girl this week (Samantha Elizabeth I think weighing just under 6lbs) and Congratulations to my friend Jill who had her little boy this week too (Christopher Jack weighing 6lbs 13oz)

Oh and also congrats to my friend Helen who just announced she is also pregnant! How exciting, so many babies!!!

Below is a picture of my hubby and I tonight, we are off out in a minute to the pub for dinner. We are making Valentines day last all weekend!!! I wander what colour eyes our baby will have... green like me or blue like tim??!! hmmm...
Well I had better scoot, Annt have a FANTASTIC birthday tomorrow if I don't get hold of you but I will try as much as poss!!! Enjoy your party, huge hugs (p.s. have you seen mum's site? lots of baby photos of you!!!!)

I have been SHOCKING this weekend with taking photos. I took 3, and one of those was to check my hair looked nice... oh dear. I am usually really camera snappy! Never mind, I think Kate took a few photos so I will get her to email them to me asap and then I will put them on my blog.
We had a fabulous weekend, I miss my uni girls so much. I haven't seen them since the wedding (as we were meant to meet in Nov but I had terrible morning sickness so couldn't make it down to London). We stayed in on the Friday night and I cooked a delicious dinner, the girls drank some wine and me on my appletize and we gossiped the night away. Tim was at a stag do in wales this weekend so timing wise it was perfect!

Then on Saturday we went to derby shopping with lots of coffee gossip breaks! Bliss! We tried on lots of clothes, anna had a drastic hair cut which looked stunning (again i wish i had a before and after photo!) and bought a few items! Then got some nibbles and headed home. We drank teaand nibbled before getting ready to go out, we went to the Hanging Gate and spent all evening there drinking (girls on wine, me on appletize!),eating and chatting, was so much fun!

We had a lazy morning and now all the girls are gone. Luckily Tim got home just as I dropped anna at the station so I haven't had time to mope around on my own. (I always feel blue when they go, I miss them so much and wish we lived closer).

I can't believe it's Sunday again, school tomorrow... boo. I am with Ant on this one, not wanting to go to school. It sucks. At least I get PPA time tomorrow afternoon.

Well I am off to check my student's planning then maybe a tiny weeny nap! Huge hugs xxxx

p.s. We listened to baby's heartbeat on anna's stephascope! And he/she kicked anna and helen, poor kate missed out as he/she stopped kicking when she touched my tummy, maybe her hands were too cold?!

More snow!

So we had another dolop of snow last night, I had a phonecall this morning to say school was shut again! YEY! So this week has really been a fab one. Poor tim still had to go in although he did go a bit later as the roads really weren't suitable for driving. I still think they weren't that clear later on but his work said they had to have a go! He phoned to say he got there safely but did say his car pretty much went sideways down the hill into Belper town... oh dear! I hope it clears a bit or he will be abandoning his car at the bottom of the hill and walking home tonight...!
My boys are not happy. They are now bored of the snow and want to run around and go to the toilet without being freezing cold! Tim was a big softy and let them sleep on our bed last night (which he never allows!), they were very good boys and stayed my side as they know not to disturb tim or they get chucked out!
So we have had a bit of extra time this week to do some more to our dining room, I have now finished painting it but haven't taken a photo as want to show you when it is all totally finished. Here it is half done with our new lights, gorgeous or what! It will be perfect for dinner parties! Christmas at ours this year maybe! ?

I had better scoot, maybe I will watch a girly movie and have a nap! BYE xxx

Do you like my new T-shirt? I thought it was quite fun, New Look maternity has such fab affordable clothes!
We had a snow day today, it never snowed any more that yesterday but it hasn't melted yet. I am not sure why the shcool shut to be honest but I am not ocmplaining, plus most of the kids have never seen that much snow so lovely for them to have a day to play in it!

Here are my boys, they weren't as keen today but they have been going out for the toilet thank goodness!

Well I am back to school tomorrow so I had better go get myself ready and think about having an early night.

Hugs, gemma x

Above is Guernsey in the snow, I stole it from Mum's blog, all the schools were shut lucky things! we missed out again as not enough snow up here to justify schools being shut... so unfair!

Below are my photos of snow here, it looks more in the garden but the roads were generally gritted and clear.
My boys deciding to venture out or not. I tried to go out with them to encourage them (I don't want any accidents on my carpet...)

In the end they sat down in the snow and puffed their tails up, I had to pick them up and carry them in... wimps!

Well now snowmen for me this year, I am keeping warm and safe inside, I don't want to slip on my bump or let my tummy get cold!

best scoot, chat soon xxx

Our Nursery!

Hello, we have had a busy day indeed... we have now turned our glorious pink dining room into a bright white room! It needs another 2 coats to totally cover that horrendous pink but with all tim's filling and sanding we are well on our way to doing it! We are both busy next weekend so I think by the end of half term I will be adding photos on of our finished dining room!!!! argh!!!! so exciting!!!

And here are lots of photo of our now finished nursery! All we have to do now is buy a set of drawers (for changing mat to go on) from Ikea (we already know which ones we want) and a chair (also from ikea), and then closer to the time we can dress the cot with blankets/sheets/bumper thing/ mobile etc etc!!! We just can't wait now till we get to meet our little boy/girl! Tim was watching my tummy move yesterday and it has made him so much more excited now it seems more real to him. Enjoy looking at our photos!

And jst for fun, here is our boy Einstein... how cute is he. Mum doesn't he look like marma in this position!!??
