a few extras

For some reason these 5 photos didn't upload properly before... so here you go just a few more...

France

We had a fun time in France, here are some more photos...

At the house

It was so nice to eat outside, it is freezing back in derbyshire I am currently wearing a vest, t-shirt and hoody!!! It is so cold. We were lucky to get such warm, sunny weather on our holiday.

Eating delicious croissants and pan au chocolate outside for breakfast

Rosie loved the rope swing in the garden

 In Dinan

Having a rest walking back up the big hill...
 Yummy pizza

We promised the kids an ice cream if they could walk back up the big hill, they were amazed by all the different ice-creams, there were some amazing colours and flavours!

 At Sable D'Or

This was the best beach I thought, lovely soft sand and the water was amazing too!
Washing off all the sand and having a bath in the paddling pool!

 Yummy patisseries!
Well until next time, I will try not to leave it so long until I write again.

Big hugs and happy summer holiday to you all!

Summer Time

Hello, sorry it has been a while. End of term was busy as always then we scooted straight across to Guernsey as the schools broke up for the summer. We had a lovely long week in Guernsey then a week in France. We were very lucky with the weather, it was a little cold and rainy the first two days then was lovely the rest of the time. I managed lots of swims in the sea and the children had a brilliant time with their grandparents and playing at the beach.

I will now upload some photos, I have LOADS so I may do it in bits (depending on how long they take to upload) and I apologise if they are not in order...

Enjoy!!!
 Boat trip across in cabin
first few days were a bit wet and windy but we played on the beach anyway, the kids loved it!

Tim's boy toy... a wind buggy sail type thing...

Mum and Sam babysat lots so Tim and I managed a few lovely, kid free evenings out

Gorgeous sunnny days, Guernsey is just beautiful and such soft, white sand!

Yummy cocktails! This was a mix of M&S pina colada in a bottle plus cream and pineapple juice... yumtastic!

The kids loved Mum and Sam's new swing set

Back to the beach for some more fun, where are all the tourists?? (THE BEST BEACH IN THE WORLD!)

 L'ancresse all to ourselves, lovely!

We did a fun dip and dine at Saints Bay hotel, the scampi was good!

 Now we are in France...

Finley and Rosie ate the french food very well, here they loved the spag bog in a restaurant at Val Andres (sorry for my spellings of French places)

We rode our bikes to the Chateaux de Hunadaye, the children loved exploring the towers and walking around the walls.

We walked down the massive hill into Dinan to have lunch and  a wonder along the river
The children enjoyed playing boules (bowls???)

And we had a long journey back on the slow boat from St Malo to Portsmouth, it was quite fun though as we had a cabin and we even went to the cinema!!
Back home, the children are playing really well. I have a lot of tidying, sorting, planning etc to do before September and am not in the mood yet. I am hoping I will get into the work zone soon enough...
