Easter Holiday to Guernsey

Hello to whoever still reads my blog!!! No idea who still logs on, I hardly ever write as I use facebook much more, but after a lovely holiday I really wanted to blog it so I have the memory to look back on!!

We went for a week and had the most wonderful time, the weather was amazing. We were so lucky. It was drier and warmer than we have ever had at this time of year, in fact warmer than some summer holidays I think!!! It was so lovely, we even made it to Herm one day although those photos are on my mums camera.

So it started at Weymouth, we arrived a little early so we bought ice creams and the children had a ride on a donkey! It was a great relaxing start to the holiday and the boat trip over was so smooth.

We spent most of the week relaxing round Mum's house and at the beach, the children loved making sandcastles and rockpooling. Rosie particularly enjoyed rock climbing with her daddy.

Just a few photos! I can't help myself but take hundreds!!!!

We went out to lunch with Grandma and Grandad too one day which was really special. The children were very well behaved and ate well. Rosie has been a real sweetie all holiday, Finley has been a monster on occassion (he is at that terrible two stage... a bit delayed. We had hoped we had escaped but no such luck!).

We built lots of dens inside and outside Mum and Sam's house

We collected loads of shells at Oyster Point in Herm, when we got home we cleaned them and made necklaces for Rosie and her friends at school
Plus we ate very well! Mum cooked for us most nights and the other nights we went out for dinner, Tim and I had several trips to town for a child free meal out plus cocktails!!! Amazing!!!

Rosie and I made chocolate rice crispie cakes for Easter

Easter egg hunt with the cousins

 Cider in the sunshine... heavenly!!!

Finley loved watering Grandpa Sam's garden, he said it was his fireman's hose!

Rosie and Finley were sad to say goodbye and really didn't want to come home yet, Tim and I felt the same. I miss my family and my little island already but at least it is not long until the summer holiday!

Just a few snaps with Grandma and Grandy
A lovely one of Grandma and Finley
Well, I will try and write sooner, more for my memories to look back on. I love reading old posts from my blog. I do wish I had the time and energy to do it as much as I used to but life is rather hectic with Rosie starting school and me being at work three days a week. Only one more year and Finley will be starting school too...... where does the time go!!!!!!!

Big hugs and a huge hello to anyone still reading this!!
