Above - I know you can't see it properly but this is the start to our new bathroom doorway, we (I say we, tim is doing the hard work I am watching and taking photos!!) are building a new stud wall and putting in a door, then knocking the separate loo and bathroom walls down to make on bigger room. It really will be a lovely bathroom when we are finished!!!

Below is a piece of art Mum gave me, it matches our lounge perfectly - looks good huh mum??? And I framed some art work I did at uni. Not sure where to put nudes, any ideas welcome?? I finished glossing the lounge today so we only need floor now!!!! It looks amazing!

Tim and I have had a fab day of DIY-ing!!! We are back in the swing after a busy month of May, with Tim being in America for a bit and me in Guernsey and all sorts of things going on in between! It has been very busy and not much DIY has got done. So now we have a timetable of things we want to get done - flooring downstairs, bathroom and touch ups on things we have done so far - and when we want to do them by... the thing is these bits always take longer than you imagine!

Back from my holidays!

Hi, I just had the best week at home with Mum, we had some really good quality mother daughter time with only a tincy-eency bit of mother daughter disagreements!!! It was so good, we sorted TONS of wedding bits, it would take me ages to tell you everything plus some things need to be left as a suprise for our guests!!! Mum has been amazing at helping sort things and is busy busy busy making things like bridesmaid bags, doing stuff to my dress and making our table plan. I have no doubt it will all come togehter brilliantly and we will have a wonderful wedding day. Tim and I can't wait!!

Below is Ethan, my little 2nd cousin. He has grown so much since I last saw him last summer, he is so gorgeous and is a mini version of his daddy!


Just had to put a photo on to prove how sunny it was, I spent lots of the week in my boob tube tops and sunglasses! Heavenly, it was rainy some mornings but had turned warm and sunny by the afternoon.
Mum and Sam's gorgeous garden, they think it is overgrown and needs loads of work doing to it but I think it is beautiful!
Mum and I had lots of jacuzzis with bubbly wine!!! WAS AMAZINGLY RELAXING!!!
We also went on a few walks, it made me miss Guernsey so much and made me very envious of my friend Kath who is moving back their with her fiance in September... I wish Tim and I could live there sometimes... although I do LOVE our house and living in Derbyshire. It is nice to get away for weekends and visit friends, in guernsey it would be hard to do that without spending tons of money. Tim and I are happy where we are, and at least we have Guernsey for holidays!!! This summer is going to be so much fun!!!

Well best get going, have to start my reports tomorrow. Tim and I are off out for drinks tonight with some of his work friends then an early start for me!

Do you like our new fire place??? It looks lovely and gives out lots of heat! Tim had friday off work and the gas man came round to connect it then tim put it together, now the only things left in our lounge to do is the skirting boards and then carpet! wow!

We went out last night and I got to meet lots of tim's work friends. They are all lovely and very funny. It was quite a drunken night but well needed after a really crappy week at work. I won't go into details, all I will say is WORK SUCKS at the moment.. will keep you posted!

I am off to sleep off my hangover for a bit,

Our garden!!

If you look closely at the end of the garden in the picture below you will notice the longer, green grass at the back. It is where Tim's parents chopped down all the bushes/brambles last November, then I dug up the brambles (well as many as I could, the roots are crazily twisted ina big mess of roots under the ground), then Tim dug it over before planting grass seed. The seed has loved this weather and is now looking fab!!!


THe kittens were so squished coming back from the cattery the other day, and they still have some growing to do, so I bought them a new, giant cat basket. They already love it!!
we have had such a lovely weekend now tim is back. I love having him back with me. And this sunshine is just amazing, it could be middle of August!!! We wished we were on the beach in guernsey although we have enjoyed our garden. tim and I have never had a garden of our own and it is really lovely to enjoy the privacy. We have had a BBQ and chilled out, heavenly!

I forgot to say tim and I went to visit Katie down in oxford a few weekends ago to celebrate her birthday and Kath and Jason's engagement.

How handsome are my boys now????

Hello, sorry I haven't written in ages. I have been on an adventure weekend with some of the year 4, 5 and 6's. It was good fun but shattering as the naughty little whatsits stayed up giggling and being silly all night!!!! I was brave and did the absailing and raft building, the children loved that I had to jump in and got all wet! Was a lot of fun actually. It was also nice spending time with the four other teachers who went, I felt it was good bonding time.

This is the absailing wall I did successfully, however the plank coming out the left hand side of it was the start of the high ropes course... I totally chickened out of doing it!!


So my gorgeous fiance is in america at the moment, I miss him so much but am distracting myself by planning and watching crap on TV. I have also enjoyed a glass of wine tonight with my little kittens sleeping on me. They are now going outside every day even when I am not with them, how brave am I? Today they were really cute and kept running inside to check I was still here then ran out again, like yo yos!

Well this weekend when tim gets back I am doing nothing but catching up on sleep from last weekend. I am still yawning every 5 seconds at school...
