My manicure... do you like?
Hello,

I am having such an incredibly relaxing half term... I can't believe how unmotivated I am in doing work... I really need to get started on my foundation subjects reports. I have got all my literacy, numeracy and science done which is great but now I need to make a dent in the other bits! It just takes ages!!!

Anyway, my great half term started with Kate's hen weekend which totally relaxed me, especially with that back and neck massage! And since then I have slept A LOT and not done much esle. Other than buy some more books to read as I am in holiday mode and I have given myself a french manicure (£7 from M&S)! Don't you think it looks ace? I am trying to grow my nails for my wedding. I have a year so hopefully I can get them to be nice and strong by then.

I keep having to remind myself that we have a year before our wedding. I kind of wish it was this year but at the same time I am excited to do all the planning bits too seeing I only have this engagement time in my life once!

Exciting wedding news - I have asked my friend Tall Helen to be my bridesmaid along side Ant. I knew I wanted a friend too so my wonderful friend Helen has said yes! I am so happy! And now can't wait to go dress shopping this summer when Ant is over. As soon as we have the bridesmaid dresses we will then know for sure what kind of colour scheme we will have! YEY!

I have a lovely to do list set for this summer too when we are over in Guernsey. We are going to try and find a DJ/Band, book the senior choir (if it is possible) at Bordeaux church, provisionally book cake person, flower people and transport!! What fun! I have to wait till then as they all say a year in advance is about the right time (I am a bit keen trying to book it now!). Then we need to make Tim legal (!) by getting a certifiacte of non-impediment and persuading the Greff to let us marry in Guernsey! Madness!!!

Anyway, no news from me, just chilling out at home thinking about weddings. Can I just say how much I love the confetti website?! I love it!!!

Off now to do some more slobbing and reading and generally loving my life!

BYE!!!!!

p.s. BIG BROTHER STARTS TONIGHT!!!AAAAaaaaarrrrgghh! (I love it but I also hate it...!)

Hi,
Last week at school was quite busy but actually quite enjoyable. I did the best cookery lesson making rock buns from Mars and doing a 'We're going on an alien hunt' story, can you guess what our topic was?
Anyway, this weekend was Kate's hen doo! We went to Liverpool (as her great uncle was Bob Paisley) and stayed in the most luxurious apartments!!!! Heavenly, I want to design my own house based on these apartments but Tim may need to make a discovery and make millions before we can do that...
We had a day at the Spa on saturday with a manicure, pedicure, neck and back massage and a facial plus time in the jacuzzi, sauner, steam room and pool whilst drinking lots of bubbly. BLISS! Then we blindfolded Kate and took her to Anfield Stadium and we got an executive box with champagne! After that we went back to our gorgeous apartments to eat, drink and play games before going out to Reflex, a cheesy club in Liverpool. It was lots of fun!!! I think Kate had a great time, I can't believe she will be getting married in 4 weeks. Since when did we all grow up!!???
well no more gossip, I am on half term this week so I am planning on writing myself a very long to do list and getting lots of housework done. Chat soon, Gemma xxxx

Tim and I at the chemistry ball... Me and tim dancing - sorry mum about the boobs but you have got to admit they look good!!!
Tim and I posing yet again...
Hello there,
Tim and I had a wicked time at the chemistry ball. They served lovely food and wine, and we danced the night away.
I did however feel fat and chunky which is such a shame. I realise now that it is actually affecting my mood so I really need to make an effort to do something positive and focus on loosing a few pounds. It will make me feel so much sexier and happier. I just need to really really focus and try so hard not to snack... I know I say it every few weeks but I really mean it this time. I did it this time last year so I can do it again! I know I can!!

espcially as I have my wedding focus on. I need to keep reminding myself of my pretty dress!!!

well I have no other news other than reports are well under way so will be having a BIG party (with healthy crudite and water!) to celebrate when they are all finished. Half term is next week and am hoping to get them done by the end of it!!! wish me luck!!!!

Hugs, gemma xxxxxx

OPTIONS!!!
White skirt... Navy blue skirt...
Light blue skirt...
Dark green skirt...
Dark green skirt again... (this is my favourite i think)...
Hello,

we are off to the chemistry ball tonight and have borrowed dresses from my friends, they are all gorgeous but none fit me exactly right, I am at such an imbetweeny size right now... so I am sticking to my trusty little black dress.

I wandered into town earlier to look for other potential outfits but had no luck for tonights outfit, however have found the most gorgeous top from Fat Face that I may wear to one of the many weddings we are going to this summer. I took some photos of it with all my skirts that I have, I think I like it best with the dark green skirt, what do you think? Or is it too summery and casual for a wedding?
Anyway, I have to go get ready now as we have to be on campus by half 5 which means leaving here at 5!!! Only one hour and 10 mins to get ready....!!! argh!

Ant you wanted to see more photos of me - well I am not putting one of me at the moment as it is a school night and I look awful, so here is one from my third year at 59 radford road, this was taken on the night I got together with Tim!!!
From left to right - Helen, Anna, Kate, Me and Little Helen... Our Moulin Rouge House Party!
Hi there,

Diet sucks - well is ok but exercise is non-ezxistent right now so I really need to try and make a bit of an effort... It is just so hard when it is raining - I have that SAD disorder don't y0u know and need some sunshine to inspire and motivate me... maybe Tim needs to get a job somewhere hot hot hot!!!?

School busy but going well. SATS going on and I am hating it, I feel so bad for my adorable children who are only 6 and 7 years old and are being made to do 'tests' to 'assess' them.. it is just mean and so unnecessary. They are children and they should be focusing on enjoying being at school and geting great learning experiences not worrying about 'what level they are at'. It totally make me mad!!

Anyway, other than that. Tim and I have the chemistry ball this saturday. I can't believe it has been a whole year since I started blogging. The photo on my profile was taken this time last year att he Chem ball. I am planning on either wearing the same dress or one of Luara's she is lending me. I wish I was lighter and slimmer than I am but never mind, I need to learn to love myself then if I loose weight it is a bonus not a need.

well no more news from me I am afraid, chat soon, hugs Gemma x

Hi,

I am at school right now whilst kids are in assembly. I have non-contact today (kind of) working steadily through my Year 2 SATs readers. It takes so long but is thoroughly enjoyable having quality time with each individual to listen to them read and take time over it for once rather than trying to squeeze it into 5 minutes with 26 other children wanting to ask questions or being too noisy!

But right now I thought I would give myself and the children a bit of a break rather than keep one out to miss their play time and assembly - aren't I kind? So am playing on computer and doing this!

well Tim and I are having a relaxing weekend tomorrow, we have no money so won't even be pubbing or going out to dinner - we will have to find some cheap but cheerful meal from good old tescos!

Next weekend is the chemistry ball so I am going to try and rummage through all my clothes to put together an outfit without buying anything new or any new accessories... I am sure I can do it if I think creatively!!! It is scary to think it is Tim's last ever warwick uni ball - he has been there for so long!

Oh I also have to add today that my boyfriend is AMAZING as he has just had his 2nd paper published!!!! I am very proud of him. Those chemistry companies would be mad not to snap him up! (ok I may be biased but he really is fantastic!)

well as you have probably gathered no gossip or news from me, just bumbling along nicely wishing for the summer to come round a bit quicker! I don't want to wish my life away but Tim and I really are excited about this summer with more weddings and going back home to guernsey to swim in the sea and eat lots of yummy seafood and BBQ's!

chat soon, Gemma xxx

The first dance - they danced to Barry White's My first, my last, my everything!
It is just SO ROMANTIC!!!!!
Anna looking gorgeous!
Driving from the Church to the reception...
Hi,
We have had a nice bank holiday monday but quite a quiet one, I feel a bit delfated after such a fantastic time at the wedding. I really don't want to sort my work out ready for tomorrow... I think it is going to be yet another busy week (as I have SO much marking to catch up on from last week and have ANOTHER governors meeting...)

So I thought I would put some more photos on of the wedding and search the internet for some honeymoon ideas! So far we have thought about Croatia, Canada, Grenada (which is way too expensive) and other exotic locations out o our budget... I think Tim and I need to start buying lottery tickets!!!

Well my diet sucks but I am determined to keep trying hard so I can wear a bikini this summer without worrying about looking like a beached whale!

Huge hugs, Gemma xxx

Anna and Harry King!!! Kate, me and Helen
Kate, Anna, Me and Helen

Me and Tim
Georgia, Anna, Harry and Rachel - the bridesmaids

Look at the gorgeous car they got to travel to the Reception venue in??? (It got upgraded as the one they paid for broke down on the way to collect them so they got this gorgeous one!!!)

Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs King!!!

Hi,

so tim and I have just got back from the first wedding of the year! (we have three more to go to in the next 10 weeks!)

Anna Holmes is now Mrs Anna King, she and Harry got married yesterday in East Grinstead, their home town followed by a reception at a Vineyard. The weather was incredibe - bright sunshine all day!!!! The service was gorgeous and they both looked so good, Anna's dress was stunning and she looked like a princess!!! Kate, Helen and I did readings which was petrifying, my heart was pumping like mad just before but everyone said they sounded good so phew!!!! Plus Anna was so incrediby thoughful and had got us some special flowers to say thankyou that matched her bouquet!

Anna's brother William played the piano during the signing of the register and he was so brilliant, very talented!

Then confetti throwing outside before heading off to the reception, they did a recieving line then drinks and photos in the glorious sunshine. I even caught the sun a little! FAB!!!!

Then we went inside for the meal which was lovely and the favours were little sweets - like pick 'n' mix. The venue was great but had a bizarre magician followed by a chimney sweep with a black cat on his shoulder - a real one!!! Was very strange but apparently extremely good luck!!

The evening carried on into the night with lots of dancing and wine! Oh and a BBQ for evening food.

Anna said it was the best day of her life and everything was perfect. We all certainly had a great time and as you can see, once I have sorted them, the photos show it all!!!

Anna and Harry have a gorgeous hotel booked for tonight too then set off on their honeymoon to Rome tomorrow! They are both very happy it is soooooooo lovely. It has also made Tim and I excited about our own wedding, but we have to wait a while before getting too excited as we have so much going on this year in our own lives, not including all the other hen nights and weddings we are off to!!! It is going to be busy!!!

Hugs to everyone, I will put some photos on then go to bed (it is only 5pm but I need a nap!!!)
