Hi,

I had a much better weekend after a crappy week. Tim is feeling much better which is good and I had a lovely weekend with my guernsey girl friends! We went out in oxford shopping and they took me to my first ever WEDDING DRESS TRYING ON SESSION!!!!

It was so much fun! It is good to now have an idea of what shape I want and the colours that suit my skin tone. I did find one dress that I fell in love with but it is far too early to make any big decisions yet! If I don't find any I like more up in leamington and I can't stop thinking about this one dress then maybe I will take mum to see it when she visits and go from there... I obviously can't give too much away on my blog in case Tim reads it and also I want my outfit to be a bit of a surprise for everyone!

So this week is going to be a madly busy one with parents evenings and my birthday! (I have to work from 8am to 8.30pm on my birthday!! GUTTED... So Tim and I decided we would make Wednesday into my birthday and he is taking me out to dinner on that night instead.

Well no more news from me, I am just very excited about wedding stuff but need to remind mysef that it is over a year away yet and we have loads of exciting things to think about this year first.

So I just wrote an entire blog, added photos and labels and wrote a whole load of (not so )intersting stuff about my weekend and then pressed a button and it ALL DISAPPEARED!!! SO CROSS I AM SO SO SO SO SO SO SO ANNOYED.

RAGHGHGHGHGHGH!

Hi,

Tim is poorly, really really flu-y! My poor baby, the thing is I love giving attention but when he is sick he just wants to curl up in a ball and not be fussed over. So I am trying to look after him without being too fussy! Quite tricky when the patient is refusing to have his medicine as it makes him feel sick (but I know that it will help him feel better in the long run even if it is gross right now - as my mum taught me well!)

Anyway, as for me - no gossip. This week has been an extremely dull one but crazily busy at work. We had chinese new year on monday which the children loved learning about and I set up my pirate ship role play area and also planned some fun pirate work which is great but extremely noisy (very excited pirates and a squaking parrot puppet mixed with building work/drilling going on right outside my classroom as they are building a new playground area!)

I have parents evening next week so will be a long week and unfortunately the late parents evening is on my birthday!! Gutted!! So will be celebrating this weekend with my guernsey girl friends down in Oxford, then celerating with Tim on Wednesday night (day before my brithday so we can go out for dinner), celebrating at school on my actualy birthday then celebrating next weekend with my uni friends!!! What a fun week!! I have my first ever wedding dress trying on sessions booked for this weekend and next!!!! SOOOOOOO weird but VERY exciting!!!

So hopefully next week I will have loads of photos to add to my blog and my new facebook thing! (www.facebook.com) It is fab!! I have been reunited with loads of my old friends from school and who I met travelling.

I had better go now to look after my fiance!!

Hi,

so I have just had the most annoying problems signing into my blog account, they made me set up a new google account which would have been fine, but it kept telling me I already had a google account according to my email address (which I seriously didn't set up myself??) so then had to ask for a new password (seeing I never made a google account in the beginning so didn't have a password) which they emailed to me THEN had to go through the whole process again...! ragh!!!

All I really wanted to say was that I have had an extremely relaing and lovely half term. (Ant was jealous of half term but I am also jealous of her having sunny weather 30 degrees!!! I need some sunshine!!! roll on spring time!) I went into school on Thursday to do some shortlisting for interviews then went in on friday to tidy and clean my classroom and made the best pirate ship roke play area ever!!! I will take some photos on monday! It really does look ace, I almost wanted to get into character and play in it myself!!

My friend Lian came up to visit last night which was lovely. We drank far too much wine and stayed up very late! Today we suffered a little with hangovers but that didn't stop us from shop shop shopping!!! I bought some new pjs and a top to go with my outfit for Anna's wedding. So I am now all sorted outfit wise for that (except new earrings to match the top). I even spent today making one of those fascinator things (they cost like £20 in shops so I bought some feathers for £2.50 and made this!!!)

Here is my head thing... is it too big? should it be pointing up or does it look nice down? Or does it just look plain ridiculous that I should give up on the idea or purchase a real one???? feedback would be useful?

Happy Birthday Ant and Happy Valentines day everyone else! (Although Tim is the only one I want to really send my 'lurve' to....!!!!)

This week I have been relaxing on half term doing absolutely nothing! BLISS!

I am trying to be healthy (as usual - I sound like a broken record) and have been to the gym, had a swim and even tried the Weight Off Workout! What a giggle!! I ache a lot and have made up for that by eating a HUGE slice of my valentines cake I baked for Tim... oops!!! I seriously need to accept my body for the weight it is and just enjoy being me. I just can't shift any pounds...

Well Pau Mckenna is also trying to hep me with his fantastic book that says
1 - Eat only when you are hungry
2 - Eat what you want, not what you think you should
3 - Eat slowly and enjoy every mouthful
4 - Stop when you are full

Doh... so easy you say but actually is really hard to only eat when hungry as I am often not that hungry I have realised. I just crave certain foods at certain points of the day (e.g. 4pm chocolate break time!!!)

His CD sends me to sleep so hopefully in my subconcious he is telling me to stop eating lots and maybe if I listen to it everyday I will eventually look like Victoria Beckham - what do you think??

Well valentines day today Tim is at work so I am going to finish watching last nights OC, pop to town to buy some yummy food and drinks from M&S, do some exercise, have a gorgeous soak in the bath and shave my legs (sorry was that too much to share?) and make myself look beautiful for my gorgeous fiance!!!!!!! (It was the first ever time I was able to buy a 'to my fiance' valentines card... what fun, and slightly geeky!)

Meet my new snowman, I made him and rolled him round the back of our flat to hide him from those horrible teenegers who live near our streets and terrorise our neighbourhood by trampoling our snowmen!!! Me and my new snowman...




People had thrown snowballs into the frozen lake to crack it, I tried and mine just stayed on the top, I don't think I have a very strong throwing arm...

So I have had all day off work and have made snowmen, been for a walk again and completed all my writing assessments! What a great use of a day when I would have otherwise been teaching. And I bet all my kiddies have had loads of fun in the snow too!

Snow snow snow!!!

This is my snowman... or should I say 'was my snowman'... after being brutally murdered by horrible teenage boys!

Hello, so I woke up this morning to beautiful white snow and phoned in to see if my school was shut and if I could have a lie-in, and yes it was shut but ycould I have a lie-in??? NO!!!

I had to go in to school as I am one of the few staff within walking distance and had to be there to turn away any children who didn't get the message that school was shut. I was initially annoyed but was actually fun to walk in with tim (he then got the bus to work) and was able to go home again at about 10am! WOHOOO!!

So I did some shopping (got tim's valentines pressie and some new slippers for me) then walked home via the park which was sooo beautiful with all the snow. The ducks, geese and swans did not look happy! I also saw a really cute dog with a snow beard!!!

Then I got home and made 2 snowmen by sueezing and rolling balls of snow. I really enjoyed myself and decorated one with sticks and twigs and put it on tim's car. I then came inside to cook my lunch and as I was doing that 2 horrible teenagers came and destroyed both my snowmen!!!!! GUTTED!!! How mean and horrible is that? So I am going to have a relax and warm up then go back out there, make a new one and hide it behind our flats until tim gets home.

well enjoy looking at my photos and I will go and enjoy my special day off!!!

Tim and I planted our first ever christmas tree! I bought it for tim for christmas. I planted 5 seeeds and 2 have grown, I figured that if we look after them, in 15 years time we will have a proper christmas tree of our very own for all our children to decorate!!!

Hello,

so diet not going well. We had a chinese take away yesterday and ate left overs for lunch today!! Then I accidentally made a load of chocolate brownies!! (practising as I promised I would make a batch for my friends at work) which were very delicious...

Excercise not happening as I have been porrly again. Second cold/bug in 6 weeks. I am not happy about it. Those little children I teach seem to spread all their digusting germs around my classroon! So spent all friday night wrapped around our toilet being sick... not nice. All I wanted was my mummy to come and rub my back like when I was little. Being a grown-up sucks sometimes!! Anyway, was feeling much better on saturday and went for a lovely walk with laura and fi around Market Bosworth, very refreshing having a whole load of oxygen pumped into my lungs especially as the sun was shining lots. I have also got lots of strong medicine now and some tonic (it's a great liquid stuffed full of vitamins and stuff for when you are feeling run down). So am ready to fight any more bugs my kiddies throw at me!!!

Tim's leg is feeling a bit better now, he is moving it much much easier but he says it is still quite sore. Not sure he will be playing hockey in a long while.

Anyway, 4 days till half term - WOHOOOOOO! I do love being a teacher sometimes! I have lots of great plans to get myself fit and well again and try to get my body in a tip top fighting bugs condition by eating well and doing exercise.
