All my children's drawings they did on move up day, they are so adorable!!
This is my drama/puppet area, with finger puppets, hand puppets, masks and dressing up clothes! I think I want to play in this area - I wish when we were little they did stuf like this at school...
My role play area is a teachers station - the children will love being me and bossing each other around! I asked them what they wanted at the end of last term and even the boys wanted a role play classroom!!
Do you like my skeleton? we are doing about our bodies this term...
This is our reward tree, the children have to collect leaves, if they get three leaves they get a golden acorn if they get two golen acorns they get a trip to the treasure chest!
Hello there,
I have spent the past few days getting my classroom ready and it is looking so good if i do say so myself! (see photos). It is all sorted now, I did more even after these photos were taken! I am quite tired now but need to get going with planning! What joys!!

MOTs and boring things like that!
Me and tim in herm, mum sent me a load of photos from her camera and I thought this was a nice one of me and tim. Me, Tim and Tigs, she is the cutest puppy ever, I want one like her now!!!
Hello, my car has passed it's MOT!!!! YEY!!!! I am so pleased because I really can't afford a big car bill right now, huge relief!
So we are back in our little flat ready to get working ready for this term, I am going to spend this week planning, getting my classroom ready and generally panicking about going back to work. My teaching assistant text me last night to say she has got another job (she has been looking to go into office work for ages), I am really going to miss her. She worked so bloody hard and did so much extra stuff for me that it will be a shock not to have her! ARGH!!!
Tim is already back to work today, he was not happy about getting up early. However, he only has this week and next before setting off to america! He is very excited as he has never been before.
Well best scoot, I am going to look at more of the phots mum has sent to me then will update my blog with more of them soon!
Hugs, gemma x

parents meet the parents!!!
Tim, mum and sam
Lily and Ben, I am learning to ride Lily. I had a few goes at trying to trot her... I am shockingly awful but I think it takes a lot of time!
Canterbury cathedral
Tim and the dog Tigs!
Anna and Harry, we drove down to brighton before picking up my parents from gatwick airport. We got to see their new flat and her engagement ring of course! I even got to go wedding dress viewing with her, she looked absolutely stunning (not that I can say anything about the kind of dresses she was looking at in case harry reads this!!)
Hi,
tim and I have had a lovely weekend with my mum and sam at tim's parents house down in kent. It was good fun and everyone got along really well.
We played with the horses and mum even had a go on the trap with the pony! she was very brave!
I am very tired now so will update my blogspot tomorrow...

dressing gowns and remembering yummy french foods...
This is my baby Marmalade, I love him so much and miss him. I wish he could live with me in leam but he has such a good life back in guernsey, Mum you had better be giving him lots of cuddles now I am not there!!!?????? Mum and Sam in Dinan, down by the river.
View from the top of Dinan looking down on the river
Tim and I in France Me and my moules! I know I am wrapped up in the restaurant but it was a windy day and mum and I had just been playing in the waves at Sables D'or, was freezing out of the water but actually refreshingly warm ish in the waves!
Hello,
I am enjoying my time back home still, I treated myself to a long, white, fluffy dressing gown and matching slippers! I am loving how warm and cosy it is, I've wanted one for ages!
I realised I hadn't put on any of my france photos so mum here's a few! I am missing the amazing moules and french cider already...
Especially as I am back on my healthy eating thing... I put on 6lbs this summer. I really did enjoy the guernsey and french food and drinks so I'm not too upset. Life is about living and we really lived this summer! So now it is a new term and a new get fit time for me! I did my tae bo video for the first time yesterday and am now aching A LOT! (did I mention how much I hate exercising?)
chat soon, Gemma x

my new hair cut
Hello, I am back in leam for five days before going to pick mum up from gatwick! I am so excited to show her and sa around Canterbury and tim's house, they are going to love it so much!!! I am even going to attempt to drive my mum round in the little shetland pony trap all on my own!!! I tried taking tim round the field yesterday and was quite hilarious as the little pony hadn't done it in a while and got a little over excited (like I do someitmes) and ended up cantering and bucking at the same time! Tim took control and slowed it down, not sure if mum will feel brave enough with me and her on our own... I will take lots of photos to show everyone!!
So do you like my new hair cut? I was very nervous as he did it as he cut loads of REALLY short bits round the front like a fringe kind of thing... never ever had bits this short round my face before and thought they would just curl right up to my head and lok ridiculous. However, I have already washed and styled it myself and can see how it works now and I love it.

A few more snaps from when tim and I were in Guernsey
My mum got Tim and I a wrap each after a rather windy experience of using a towel on the beach!! Tim and I after a night out with mum and Sam at Da Nello's in Guernsey, the best restaurant over there. It does the best lobster linguini (not that I know how to spell that!). And yes that is the real moon!
Mum and I drinking our Kir Royales at Nello's
Me and Tim at Bordeaux, the beach near our house.

My weekend with the girls in Guernsey
a few of my holiday snaps!
I have so many holiday photos I just can't possibly put all of them on in one go as they take so long to resize and download on this blogspot, so I have chosen a few of my favourites!
We are now at tim's house and I have already been for a horse ride!!! We rode round the forest with my on Lily, tim on Ben and his mum on Patch. They were all very well behaved (the horses that is) and I was a lot braver than last time! I got on and off Lily three times mostly by myself! And tim tried teaching me how to trot in the field but it was so much harder than it looks and I really did look very silly!
Well enjoy looking at my photos, I will put more on at some point! huge hugs to everybody! Gemma x
p.s. I am going to weigh myself on monday when i get back to leamington but as you can see I really enjoyed the gorgeous food and wine this holiday, especially the chocolate fondues so am not expecting very good results...!!! Oh well!!! I really did have a lovely holiday!!

holiday resolutions!
Hi,
being on holiday has given me loads of time to really chill out and think about what I want from this year ahead. I am now looking forward to the new term (but obviously not wanting it to come round too quickly as I am really loving this holiday!). I am feeling all motivated and inspired, I just hope it carries on when I get back into the routine of every day life...
I have decided to do a few things when I get back to leam, you may laugh at some of them!
1) Keep going with getting fit and healthy!
2) Have a new hair cut (this always makes me feel like I am starting a fresh!)
3) Try something new this term - such as learn a new language, join a yoga class or a dance class, join an arty/crafty type course at warwickshire college (could be a good way to meet some new people?)
4) grow my nails!!! (I am currently working at this and they are getting a little bit longer and I have stopped nibbling on them!!!)
5) keep in touch with my friends more, sometimes I get so tired at work during the week I don't make as much effort as I would like with my close friends!
There you go... some new term resolutions! I know they are not very exciting but there you go!!
well tim and I have packed our bags and are setting off to France in about an hours time! YEY!!! We have already got our whole weekend planned out - St Malo, Dinard, swimming on the little beaches along the coast, Dinan and much more followed each evening by a large bowl of Moules a la creme et frites!!!!
when we get back we will have one more day in guernsey then setting off back to tim's. I will update my blog when we are back in the UK. Hope everyone is well and happy, huge hugs, gemma x

holiday!
Hi,
sorry ant and beth for not updating sooner, we have been having far too much fun to sit in front of the computer. Today however is the first day it has been a bit cloudy so I have left tim downstairs and am hear to tell you about my holiday so far...
well, I went to helen's last wednesday and had a day with her in Windsor. Then we met anna and kate at the airport to fly to guernsey on thursday morning. Was a really nice flight actually and was a gorgeous day so went to drop our bags off at home then went straight to Moulin Huet (a gorgeous cove). I succeeded in getting all of the girls in the sea for our first swim!!! We then spent the rest of the weekend, eating, drinking, day trip to herm, going out dancing in follies, spending time in jacuzzi and generally gossiping about everything!!!
They flew back on sunday on the same plane that had just dropped off tim! Tim and I have had the most romantic few days so far. It is sooooooo nice to be away together without the stress of work/school/money...! We have been enjoying the food, wine, jacuzzi and this beautiful island! So far we have been swimming at bordeaux (tim came once then chickened out the next time which left mum and I able to float about on our body boards), walking along the rocks rockpooling, bike rides (not too far from my house yet as I am so unfit on a bike!), body boarding at L'ancrese with mum(which was hilarious! I almost lost my bikini bottoms on one wave!), walking along the cliffs on the south end of the islands, the views are incredible - I will put my photos on as soon as I get back to tim's on the 17th. We have also been out to dinner with mum and sam, round to grandma and grandy's for a buffet in their garden and to castle cornet. We have got so much more planned for the next week - my cousin bev is coming round today with baby ethan and we are all going to go to the beach, we are off to herm tomorrow, out with my home friends tomorrow night, family all coming round on sunday then france next thursday!!!
We go back to tim's on the 17th then mum and sam are coming to stay with his parents on the august bank holiday weekend!!!! they will finally get to see where tim lives and get to know his parents a bit better.
well seeing I have no photos to show today I guess i won't ramble on any more. I just am so happy at the moment with being on holiday! I really needed it!
I hope you are all well and happy too and enjoying the hols!?
