cabbage soup!

Hi,

I've had a relaxing half term so far. Tim and I spent Monday relaxing after the weekend. However, after reading my friend Sam's blog spot I am feeling rather envious of her living back home in Guernsey. She spent the day BBQ-ing in Herm and getting sun burnt! Leamington hasn't seen the sun for about 9 months now and I am gagging for some! Even the Big Brother house is sunny too...
I think Tim and I are living in the wrong place!!!

Anyway, I am feling inspired about the summer and am looking forward to going to Guernsey and hopefully spending the whole time on the beach and having BBQs. So the diet is back on after about a month of being naughty. So far this week I am attempting the cabbag soup diet! You have to eat this soup along with fruit and veg but I am on day three and already cannot imagine putting one more spoonful of that orange coloured mush into my mouth!

Having said that the scales are being rather kind to me so that has motivated me to carry on! Wish me luck!!!

Well I am only really writing to put off doing my reports so i guess I should scoot!

Hi, diet going badly but am so enjoying my life right now I am not too bothered. I will keep going now I am on half term.

This weekend Tim and I went to our friend Laura's wedding! It was brilliant, she looked stunning! (I also got loads of ideas for when it's my turn...!)

Tim and I stayed in a little B&B near Oakham where they got married with our friends Fiona and Adam. Was so good to get away, I really felt like I was on holiday even though it was only a weekend break.

looking forward

Hi,

Not had that good week, eaten far too much for a diet and not done much exercise. It is pouring with rain and has been for about 2 weeks now. I miss that sunny feeling...

I thought I would pop some photos on for my mum. She likes looking at photos. So mum, here's one of Tim doing a demonstration at my school then there's one from last summer of me and mum swimming at Bordeaux beach. I am looking forward to doing that again this summer! Can't wait!

Well best scoot but please someone give me advice on how to stop eating at 3pm after school. That's my worst time of day for snacking...

Photos

Ant and her friend Jo always have such beautiful photos of places in Mexico they have been on holiday so I thought I would add a gorgeous photo of the beach right next to my home in Guernsey and a photo of Tim's house down in Kent. His mum and dad have horses and I just love this photo, it reminds me of relaxing at his house in the holidays! I am so looking forward to the summer!

Feeling happier

Hey all,

having a good day today - my friend Claire has cheered me up by suggesting a big brother party tomorrow night so Claire and I are going to party the night away with healthy nibbles and water! (ok maybe a little wine...)

Food today - branflakes for breakfast, chicken salad sandwich on brown bread, banana, satsuma and a small bar of plain chocolate and for dinner stuffed pasta and tomato sauce (bit naught but tried not to have too much).

Off to hips bums and tums in an hours time! It kills me every time but I do come away feeling really inspired to be healthy.

Big brother is watching you...!!!!

Zippy time

Hi,

not so good day today. I have had a mars bar and a packet of crisps (walkers ights but still...) I did gym it yesterday and had a healthy evening meal so that's good I guess.

Today school was madly busy, remind me again why I am a teacher?

I am also busy sorting a school trip to a pretty graveyard in Leamington on Thursday. Zippy our class stick insect (he's a toy not real) died in the Zippy time P.S.H.E story (a course based on teaching children how to cope with their emotions). Not sure how they will deal with it but research shows it helps children learn how to deal with change and loss. I'm not sure if they are too young to have to worry about that or not but hey... I have to go along with the planning and see how they react. Will be pleased when it is over!

I am now looking forward to a relaxing evening with Tim, chat again tomorrow x

That Monday feeling...

Hey,

I hate that Monday feeling, trying to wake myself up and get into work mode after a weekend of partying and sleeping! So hard to get back into the swing of things.

Today has been ok food wise:
Breakfast - bran flakes
Lunch - tuna baguette, banana, 2x satsumas, 2x choc digestives

Snack - piece of banana cake... I know I am officially crap at dieting. I find it so hard to stop myself when it gets to 3 o'clock and I get the munchies. Any advice?

I am now off to the gym so will try extra hard toi work off that banana cake, which by the way counts as one piece of fruit? surely??? ;-)

Chemistry ball

hi,

I had a great day yesterday! I went to the gym in the morning for a run, weights and a swim. Ate well all day!

Tim and I also went to the chemistry ball which was really fun. It was lovely to get all dressed up and feel gorgeous!

We did however drink rather large amounts of wine but did try to dance off the calories!

Chat later, I will try to go to the gym today to work off all that wine but can't promise anything with this hangover...

Friday night...

Hey,

day two has gone really well so far...

Breakfast - bran flakes and semi skimmed milk
Lunch - jacket potato and tuna
Snack - a few biscuits... (oops!)
Dinner - home made vegetable pizza

AND... I made it to the gym for a 2km run!!! (I KNOW! So good of me!), weights then a swim. The problem arises when, in the middle of putting your bra on, a child from my class walks in and says "Hi Miss"! Oh dear... very embarrassing!

Then, as the title suggests, it is a Friday night which equals a bottle or two of wine... cancelling out any good work I have done today. Oh well, a girl has got to live!

By the way, a bit happier as I weighed myself without trainers on today and I am 10 stone 7lbs. I know they say you shouldn't weigh yourself every day but it is so hard when your just starting a diet. I will try harder just to do it on a Thursday on a weekly basis.

Chat soon, by the way I thought I would add this photo Tim caught of me having a nap, just to stress how lazy I actually am...

Me and Tim

This is from a Warwick University School Days night out! We're in our halls of residence getting ready with rather a lot of wine...

Day 1 of the rest of my life

Hi,

I have decided to follow in my big sister's foot steps and create my very own online diary! I am determined to lose a little weight for the summer so I look like a slim line dolphin on the beach rather than a large wobbly whale!

The problem being... I love my food and I do not love exercising. Simple as that.

So far today I have eaten cereal for breakfast, porridge for lunch with raisins and a banana but have just had an accidental snack on a packet of crisps... why can't dieting be easy?

I have reports to write at the moment so am not going to make it to the gym...

Little steps first I guess, gym tomorrow!

So weight now: 10 stone 9lbs
Aim weight: 9stone 12lbs

Oh almost forgot I am signed on to do the race for life in June so need to start doing some running! Wish me luck!
