I have been busy today downloading all the photos off my telephone, so these are from the past month. Today we have had a busy one, we've been on 123 club and done lots of cleaning and tidying. Yesterday we baked cakes and popped into my work. I am trying to sort out when I go back :-( I now have a date set in June :-(

well lots of exciting things are coming up in February and March, we've got cocktail night, come dine with me evenings, helen's hen party, Guernsey, Kent, helen's wedding and my 30th!!! Lots of fun!!!

Hello and a very merry christmas to you all! I hope you all had a lovely day, we had a very magical one with Rosie! Finley also seemed a little excited even though he had no idea why! Poor little thing only got to open about two of his presents as Rosie insisted on 'helping' him! She had a great day and was such an angel, she loved her dolly and the high chair, plus all the other wonderful gifts everyone gave to her. She and Finley were both spoilt rotten! We had a great day. It just always goes too quickly!!!! Here are a few photos, we tool loads of videos too but they are too long to download on here. I must do a DVD!

merry Christmas everyone! Here are some more photos of the past week or so leading up to Christmas day. We had a lovely time with mum and sam, here are a few of my photos. This morning we went to ant's and had a lovely time making mince pies, Rebecca and Finley had a little play together. They are so sweet, Rebecca loves sitting up and standing up, Finley just loves rolling and playing on his tummy. They are so cute. Rosie loved helping Ant (her idol). Finley now sits in his high chair to eat, he is much happier at meal times now he can see us all.
Rosie's christmas hat, she painted a rudolf and I stuck lots of tinsel to it and made it into a hat...

we managed another fun night out last weekend when mum and sam were with us, we went for a curry with all my mummy friends! It was a lot of fun to be out the house and drinking a glass of vino or two!

well have a wonderful christmas, we will take lots of photos and videos ready for the next update!

Our Christmas tree is up! We did it this morning and it looks fab. Rosie also baked chocolate cupcakes and enjoyed tucking into one after dinner tonight. OoooOOOooo I could just eat her up she's so cute.
My cute little niece, (or is it neice? my spelling is awful...), Rebecca is wearing Rosie's old coat - it feels like yesterday Rosie was wearing this... amazing how fast these little babies grow up. I wish it would slow down a little! I am loving the age Finley is right now, he is such a happy little boy and so cuddly! I could cuddle him so tight and kiss his little cheeks all day long, he adores Rosie and giggles at her all the time. She rather likes him and Rebecca too, today Rosie was giving Rebecca little cuddles. She is such a kind little girl, I do love my baby girl so much! I am one very lucky mummy.

Below, Rosie tucking into her dinner, Finley had just eaten his so was happy watching her eat, and Einstien also had a full tummy and was happy curling up in his bed. I love my little family...

Finley is really pushing himself up high and then tucking his feet under him, then stretching out again. He just needs to learn to do both at the same time to get moving!
On Monday we had a day at home as we've all had colds (Finley is still suffering now poor baby boy), so we made dens and played in them! Rosie loved it and wanted Finley to come in and play too.

We bought Rosie some salopets (no idea how to spell that), for when it snows! Let's hope we get some this Christmas, maybe when Mum and Sam are over so they get stuck here for longer!!!
Today was our Christmas party at the community hall. It was a lot of fun, even santa visited and gave all the children some presents!!! Rosie had a fabulous afternoon and is now soundo in bed!

The beginnings of Christmas 2011!!

So we all went swimming this morning, then popped to B&Q to get some light bulbs and I got far too tempted by the Christmas decorations! We bought Rosie a mini tree for her room and lots of little bits to decorate it with, then we came home and have made our first batch of 2011 mincepies!!! YUMMY!!!!!

Finley is still loving his food, so far he has tried apple, pear, banana, sweet potato, butternut squash and carrots! He loves it all, especially his porridge!

Just a few update photos, above is me and my little man. He is just starting to try his first solids - he so far likes porridge, banana and pear.

Today we've been to twisting tots fancy dress for children in need. Rosie went as a butterfly, she spent ages making her wings, and she wanted to paint my face like a butterfly too... I think she did a good job!

Oh and Tim gave Rosie some stickers, we left her to it and this is what we returned to... a little girl covered in stickers from head to toe!
I love them so much, they are very settled at the mo and we are enjoying our time together!

So Rosie had her very own bonfire party - Tim did a mini bonfire for her to watch and she had a glow stick light thing to swing around in the dark! She quite enjoyed looking out the windows upstairs after her bath and watching the fireworks nearby! Both she and Finley had a lovely day, a nice bath together (sweet!!!) and were both soundo in bed by 6.30pm! Lovely. We have finally, at 18 weeks, got Finley into a sleep routine... it took long enough! He now sleeps from 6pm - 6am, with one wake up at about 2am. It's now lovely to finally have our evenings back!

here is a hat mum knitted for Finley but it is a tad too big, I think Rosie looks really cool in it though so she may have it till it fits Finley.
I enjoyed watching my two gorgeous babies watching Maisie Mouse, they were so cute. Finley was just adoring Rosie, watching her every move, she hardly even noticed him looking up at her. He loves her so so much!

My happy little man, he is such a smiler.

We were trying to get photos today to go on our Christmas cards - it was IMPOSSIBLE to get Rosie to smile and stay still long enough to get a photo. We will try again another day. Finely was so cute and spent ages grinning at the camera and looking very handsome!

Above is Rosie after her halloween twisting tots party dressed as a spider, although she wasn't very well that week and she ended up napping in the afternoon which she never does now! Bless her.

And below is Finley as a pumpkin. Cute or what? we've had a very productive day with Rosie being at nursery. We've cleaned, tidied, washed, dried and ironed clothes (I never iron so that is a treat!), dinner in the oven, we've done the weekly shopping, I've wrapped Tim's 30th birthday pressies, wrapped some Christmas pressies and even managed to squeeze in a nap with Finley this afternoon! Lovely day!
Chat soon, am taking lots of videos on my camera at the mo as I realised I took loads when Rosie was a baby but haven't remembered to take many of Finley yet. Going to put some on a DVD for the family at some point when we have a spare minute (maybe in 2013 we'll get a spare moment to do it?)

Ant and Gareth are weaning Rebecca at the moment, and we will be weaning Finley in a month or so, it got me looking through Rosie's videos and i found this one... it is so weird looking back at how Rosie was - feels like yesterday she was finley's age and we started weaning her and now she's such a mini grown up... adorable!

Busy few weeks

What a crazy time we're having. Finley is a NIGHTMARE sleeper, bless him. He is so cute and chilled out but wakes 4 or more times a night... This week I had a flat tyre, Rosie was sick in the night so was off nursery on her Thursday, Oscar needed to go to the vet with a poorly leg and then Einstein wouldn't let Oscar back in the house so we had to get them some of those cat pheromones! Luckily it's worked and they are friends again now.

Below is Rosie with her new hospital bag we made when she was poorly. She's been making all her dollies and teddy bears well again.
This week was Twisting Tots halloween party, luckily it was before Rosie got ill so she managed to go, she also won the prize for best costume! She was a spider and had home-made legs! Finley looked rather gorgeous as a pumpkin (it was Rosie's old costume from when she was little, luckily he just about squeezed in but his bum kept popping out the poppers at the back!)

Finley is now big enough to go in his jumperoo (it was Rosie's 1st Christmas present), he hasn't yet worked out that he can move his legs to make it bounce and make music, he just dangles but does like it! He smiles lots when he's in it.

On Monday she insisted on wearing her tutu! How cute does she look, we did go to chuckle butties like that and she almost took off like an aeroplane at the bottom of the slide she went that fast!!!

Busy August

so we had the best holiday ever in guernsey - felt like the most relaxing week in a long time! Mum and Sam were fab looking after Rosie whilst we had a few lie-ins with Finley. Rosie loved the beach even more than last year! She swam in the sea (well up to her thighs in her borrowed wetsuit from Gracie) and loved building sandcastles. We really enjoyed seeing everyone (although at times a little stressful fitting everyone in, wish we could have longer times to see friends and family, it always goes so fast)...
Finley is growing so so fast - a few weeks ago at 7 weeks old he weighed 13lbs already!!!!! He'll easily be over a stone now I'd imagine. He is smiling loads and has giggled a few times, the first ever time was when tim was washing his hair! He also now grabs toys which is sweet although he sometimes forgets to let go. He had his first set of jabs today, he is so far ok am hoping he doesn't ache too much tomorrow, poor baby!
Rosie helping with Finley's bottle feed, he has one at 6pm and Rosie is usually in bed, in guernsey on her last night she was up late enough to help and felt very proud doing so! sweet!

Hey, sorry it has been ages! I find it rather a challenge to find a few minutes spare to take photos, download them and do this blog! I really want to keep it up though as I love reading back over my posts! Finley has settled into our lives well, Rosie is struggling a little with the attention now having to be shared between her and her brother... she has been really good considering the massive change it is for her. She will be fine, it is her age too. They don't call it the terrible two's for nothing, it's just Finley has been a catalyst in the tantrums arriving I think...

he is growing well, now 11lbs 13oz! He's a big boy! He has a very similar personality to Rosie when she was this age, very chilled out and contented. The only difference is he feeds way more often and isn't sleeping very well at night yet, actually he doesn't nap well in the day either. He is a very awake and alert baby.

The cats are now very much used to Finley, poor boy doesn't get much choice in getting used to them. They are such naughty monsters wanting to share all his toys, and blankets!

We have had some really fun paddling pool sessions in the hot weather, here is one of the many photos of Rosie and her friend Gracie, I had tons of them but most are nudey rudey ones as they both decided to strip naked and run round lots! It was very sweet to see them playing together so nicely.
Rosie is slowly learning to entertain herself, it is an important skill she is going to have to learn to do, she's getting there.

and in between playing herself, we have been watching lots of peppa pig, reading lots of books, painting and cooking, and Auntie Ant also came round to cook a few weeks ago - Rosie loved it, and it gave me a little break too which was lovely - Ant when are you free to do it again?????

Our little man is smiling! It is gorgeous to see, this morning after feeding he looked up at me and smiled, it is so so lovely, Rosie hasn't seen him do it yet but when he does I just know she will be so excited that he is (slightly) interacting with her and not just lying there doing not very much at all. I think she thought he'd be a bit more interesting!!! I keep telling her that soon he will be able to play with her but not just yet!

3 weeks old today!

My gorgeous little man and my beautiful little angel girl, they are still getting on well. Rosie is calming down loads but is still having the odd tantrum, bless her. It is all a lot to take in. I have my mum here till Sun, I am actually very nervous about how I will cope without her help but I guess it will all just fall into place and we will get into a bit of a routine soon enough!

Finley is now having one bottle of milk at 7pm ish to give me a bit of a break and some nice bonding time for Tim. He has taken to it well and is gulping 4oz each evening, my little greedy boy! Having him weighed tomorrow, last week he was 10lbs 7oz.

Introducing Finley Alexander Smith!

So our little man finally arrived on monday 4th july, at 21.51pm, weighing 9lbs 13oz. Rosie getting used to him being around really quickly, she is an angel with him so far. I will write more when we get more time, it is a bit busy at the mo keeping rosie entertained and feeding a very hungry little boy!!

Tim took rosie to his works family fun day, she loved it, wish we could have gone too but it would have been a bit too much walking round for me this early on.

He got weighed 5 days old and had only lost 4oz which is good, so he is now 9lbs 9oz - still a big weight!!
Rosie loves role playing, she is constantly helping change Finley's nappy, and then changing her baby doll. Here she is feeding her baby doll after we'd all had our breakfast. She seems a very happy little girl at the moment, fingers crossed it will last a little bit before the jealousy kicks in... maybe it won't? who knows? we are trying very hard to involve her lots and give her lots of cuddles and attention and praise when she does good behaviour. Bless her! what a life changing thing at 2 years old having a new baby brother to share your mummy and daddy with!

Me at 39 weeks, I am ready to pop - due in a few days but could be up to the 11th... come on baby!!
We've enjoyed this hot day, we went swimming this morning, then Denby family fun day then all afternoon was spent in and out of the paddling pool. Here is Rosie playing 'sleeping bunnies'! she loves it!

This was taken a few days ago when it was much cooler, she had a tea party with dolly and was very happy.
Rosie had her face painted today for the 1st time, how cute is it she chose incey wincey spider!?

so now I am 38 weeks pregnant and no signs what so ever of this little baby wanting to make an appearance! He is very happy and snug in my tummy! Here are a few photos from Granny Sue's camera, she has had a lovely week with Rosie and Rosie and I have loved having her to help out.

We have had fun this week at 123 club, twisting tots, meeting up with friends... we've been quite lucky with the weather so far although the forecast is now for a lot of rain I think...

Rosie being angelic, as always of course! She is loving having Granny Sue to stay, they are currently singing the alphabet song and reading books, gives me a chance to rest!!! Lovely! We are having a really nice time.

Here is me today at 37 weeks, scan on Monday then only two/three weeks left! I am actually feeling rather ready now, even though I am slightly nervous of how it will be coping with no sleep a new born and a very excitable and energetic toddler! I am pleased for paternity leave and Grandparents to help out!
Well, I had best scoot, off to get Rosie's dinner ready, lasagne tonight!

Rosie's new buggy board!

Gosh who'd have imagined two years ago when I was pushing around my tiny new born baby girl that soon she'd be standing on a buggy board waiting for her baby bro to arrive!

She LOVES her buggy board and is constantly wanting to stand on it and play with her baby dolls in the push chair, we have explained that when her baby brother arrives that he will be going in it and that she can watch him sleeping while we go for walks. She seems excited but I am sure she won't like the reality of it.... hopefully she'll get used to him quickly!

Below is her new pony, she got him from Asda when we bought the buggy board, she adores him. It's when she wants a real pony we worry!
My mum is currently over helping out Ant, we popped round to lunch and the afternoon. Was good to see mum, Rosie had a lot of fun watching Rebecca be changed then copying on her dolly, very sweet to watch her role playing so well on her own! Gorgeous girl!

Well Rosie is at nursery this morning, then I am picking her up after lunch to go to Twisting Tots and the park. She is excited about dancing! Sweet!

Best scoot, 37 weeks pregnant today by the way (that is classed as full term!!)

36 weeks and 4 days tomorrow

Hey, so tomorrow is the day that Rosie arrived when I was last pregnant - 36 weeks and 4 days! I am hoping this little boy stays put a little while longer as Rosie and I are thoroughly enjoying our maternity leave. She now only goes to nursery 1 and 1/2 days a week. last week we did loads of fun things, helps that the weather is gorgeous too!

We went to visit ant yesterday too which was a lot of fun, I enjoyed my cuddles with Rebecca and Rosie was a good girl, although she did want to steal Rebecca's lovely soft blanket - Rosie LOVES blankets at the moment, she is very much into role playing with her dollies. She is currently tucking them into her big push chair. We have attached our new buggy board to it yesterday so have tried it out walking to the shop. Rosie stood on the buggy board while we pushed her baby dolls and teddy! Was fun! She loves it, I think it will be very useful!

Yesterday we went to the park, Rosie loves the slide the best, especially when her horse went first each time!

Well no more news, loving maternity leave, Mum arrives this week for two weeks which will be lovely, then tim's mummy and daddy come for two weeks after that! Hopefully this baby will come at some point in the next 4 weeks so we have someone to look after Rosie, if he comes after the 1st of July Rosie will be going for a sleep over at her friend Gracie's house! Exciting times!!!!! x

Rebecca Maya was born on 21st at 3.31am weighing 7lbs 7oz, she is gorgeous! I enjoyed my cuddles on saturday evening and sunday afternoon. Rosie hasn't met her yet, maybe this weekend or next week. I am not sure what Rosie will think of her... she may be jealous that Aunty Ant isn't all hers anymore!!!

Then... my next dilema...
Last night Rosie holwed till 9pm (teeth...again), then tonight she fell asleep within minutes... on her floor! We have left her as she has wrapped herself up and fallen asleep on her pillow (she's made this little mini bed on the floor all by herself! sweet!). But should I move her? what to do, what to do???

This evening she had a lot of fun role playing with her bags, my credit card, her hat from when she was about 3 months old and her pushchair and baby doll. She went shopping and came back saying she had bought bubbles and water. Sweet!!!

On Sunday Rosie and I did some baking, we made cookies. She loved stirring and licking the spoon (don't worry it was after we had finished!), then enjoyed eating them after too! (although to be fair mummy and daddy had most of them).

Above me at 34 weeks... I am feeling rather heavy now and am measuring slightly ahead! Have a scan at 37 weeks so hopefully they will check size of baby... eshk! Could be a big one...

Rosie's day out at Chatsworth Farm for her 2nd Birthday!

We had a lovely morning at Chatsworth Farm, we took her for Rosie's birthday, it is tomorrow but she is having a party tomorrow so thought we'd take her to the farm today. She was so excited but then got all frightened of any animal bigger than a duck! It was quite funny really, and since we've been home she keeps saying 'more horses, more baa baa, more ey-or'... I think she did like them really! Enjoy the photos!!!

We had lunch in the cafe, Rosie enjoyed her posh cheese bap and posh choclate cake, she did have a banana too to balance out the naughtiness! She really enjoyed her morning and was asleep within minutes on the way home.

Tim has been such a busy boy building Rosie a farmyard for her birthday! Isn't it amazing? We both painted the buildings, the pond and the stone wall, then tonight I have been doing the grass, the hay in the barn, the pathway and muddy tractor tracks! It isn't quite finished yet as the pathway is going to have gravel on it (it is on the top photo but needs to dry then be hoovered off to see how it looks) and we have some fake grass stuff to glue on to the grassy areas... we will see how that turns out. I have added PVA glue to the pond to make it shiny - it should dry clear!

She will love it won't she?????

Hello,

we' ve had yet another wonderful weekend, this Easter hols has been the sunniest and felt like the longest hol we've had together! It has been so lovely and due to the good weather we have fitted in lots of fun activities!

This weekend we had a royal wedding party on the friday then had Dave and Vicki to visit this weekend. We went for a lovely walk round Carsington on the Sat and then Crich on the Sunday. It was great, Rosie was amazing and walked loads, we didn't take the push chair or her bike - she managed the whole morning and lunch being a little miss independent! Hope you like the pics...

Well it has been abusy week for my friends too, so far since last weekend
Kath and Jason had baby Florence
Fi and Adam had their baby boy, Ralph
And yesterday my mummy friend Siobhan had her 2nd baby Laurie James!

Not long for us now either, I am now 31 weeks, only 4 weeks left of school! Bring it on!!!!!

We have had yet another few wonderful days this holiday. It seriously is the best holiday we have had together just the three of us at home. I think the warm weather has something to do with it as it has meant we can do lots of fun things. Today we went to Twycross Zoo, was a lot of fun. We took the trike instead of a pushchair which was great, Rosie loved looking at all the animals. She especially liked the giant lizards and the flamingos. When we asked her afterwards which animal she liked the best she said the penguins!

The famous camera smile is still going strong!

Rosie this afternoon enjoying her slide in the garden, she didn't last long though before she wanted to come inside and sit still for a bit, she sat next to me on the sofa for about 20 mins (which is a very long time for Rosie as she never sits still!). I think she was worn out after the zoo!

This was taken a few days ago when we all had banana milkshakes in the garden, like I say we have had fab weather!
This photo was just for you Ant to show you how messy these babies get, our lounge looked like a bomb had hit it, I hope your baby girl is tidier than ours!!
We were in the lounge when suddenly we heard the hoover start up, she had turned it on at the wall and then turned it on and started hoovering... well good we have her trained up so young - it will be easy keeping the carpet clean once baby boy smith arrives as Rosie can be in charge!
Our new fence - do you like? Tim is amazing and did it in a few days! It is so much safer now, I can actually sit on a chair and watch Rosie play rather than following her round all the time worrying she may fall off the side. Brilliant - well done Hubby!

Perfect Day!

So we were up early (as usual!) so got ourselves all sorted and went off to Carsington Water early on with Rosie's trike, we had such a lovely walk before all the crowds arrived. Tim did take loads of photos but his camera won't connect to our laptop which is a nuisance so it may take a while for him to work out how to get the photos of his camera...

I took lots this afternoon though, so... after our walk she played for a while at the park there. Then we came home for lunch in our garden, heavenly in this weather!!!

Then Rosie had a paddling pool session, then just played all afternoon in her garden. She was covered in sun cream don't you worry. Unfortunately we left her really good long backed hat at our friends house (which is about 30 mins drive away) so we're off to find another one tomorrow, we realised we prob should have a spare anyway. Luckily she just about fits in last years hat.

We also walked down to the shop to get an ice cream on her trike mid afternoon before having tea in the garden too, bath then bed! She has been a very very happy girl, and we feel all relaxed too. I love this sunshine! I wish it would stay now till next Autumn.

I know this one is out of focus (rosie would not stay still for 2 seconds!) but I wanted to show you her new pretty white dress, Rosie's great grandparents Rod and Mem sent some pennies in the post for Rosie for Easter so we put it towards this dress which was in the sale at M&Co. Great shop for great prices!!! I think she looks so angelic in it!

Me and Ant had a lot of fun this afternoon painting our bumps as Easter eggs! What do you think? I painted Ant's and she did mine as of course we can't see our own lower tummys any more!!!! I think they look amazing (especially the one I painted!)

Rosie has been busy painting too, she has to decorate an egg for her Easter competition at nursery, she is starting with painting then she is going to draw on top and maybe I will stick a photo on too of her smiling!

Tim and I went 1/2 and 1/2 with all of Rosie's baby friends on a slide for her 2nd birthday. I know it is in a few weeks but we couldn't resist putting it together now and getting the most out of it, she LOVES IT! I think it will bring a lot of happiness to her time in the garden!

Fun in the sun!

Rosie and I have had such a great afternoon, we went to twisting tots from 1.30 - 2.30 then went to the park for a bit and met Siobhan and Phoebe for a quick play. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon playing in our garden, it has been so so warm! We had the suncream out and just in t-shirts and bare feet, was heavenly! Fingers crossed the weekend will be the same!

Rosie saw loads of ladybirds today, she let one crawl up her arm and all over her hands, she was so gentle and watched it fly away. She has been a cery happy girl and is now still outside playing with tim and watering their plants.
Only 7 more days of teaching time left till the easter hols. Thank goodness!!!!

lovely weekend yet again, I love weekends!

Me and Ant, finally we have an up to date bump photo taken by Gareth. We met them at the park, Rosie had just woken up so was a little grumpy to say the least, she finally warmed up and wanted to stay and play just as we had decided to go home. Menace! She has however had a lovely afternoon playing with her daddy (I had a nap - first one in months!!! was lovely!!!!!)

We took Rosie swimming this morning too and I asked permission to take a photo or two as I just want the memory on record. She loves swimming so so much.

Yesterday was another crazy day, we went down to leam to see Katie and Phoebe which was so nice, great to catch up with them. Becky and Lou popped in to say hi aswell, I do miss that Milverton lot.

After spending the morning with them, we went to a 90th birthday party! It was the birthday of the lady who lived upstairs from us in our old flat. We used to go upstairs and drink wine and sherry with her, she is lovely. Was very sweet of her family to ask us to come along. Rosie dressed up in her party outfit and looked lovely. We didn't quite realise how formal it all was so we weren't dressed in our best... oh well. she loved seeing us so I am sure she didn't mind one bit. By the end of the day Rosie was shattered, she kept lying down on the bench outside, she was asleep within minutes of setting off back home.

Pheobe and Rosie, she was a super star looking after rosie so Tim and I could sit down at Katie's and have a good old gossip with Katie and her Tim.

Rosie and I went to play at ant's house today. Gareth was out so we struggled to get a photo of our bumps together. This one was taken in the mirror and came out all fuzzy... will try harder next time mum!

Rosie is a bit off colour today, she is fighting a cold I think, runny eyes and bit of a cough. She enjoyed snuggling on ant and having her back scratched.

26 weeks and party time!

So above is me now at 26 weeks pregnant, below was last week. I have already started to get the whole'you're so big' comments from people... I don't think I am ridiculously huge, I carried big with Rosie too so I think it is just how my body carries babies!
So today Ant and I went to an NCT sale in Matlock. We picked up some great bargains! Ant got a play mat with the arches and a blow up ring thing for babies for really cheap. Good as new! And I got Rosie a few clothes and lots of baby boy clothes for so little money. I could have spent so much more, if I had of been a bit more organised I could have planned ahead a bit more and got some older boy clothes, although these sales are quite often I will just go to the next ones too!

Later on this afternoon we took Rosie to Baxter, William and Grace's 2nd birthday party, enjoy the photos - she looked gorgeous in her tutu!

I've been cleaning the baby stuff too so that Rosie has a chance to get used to it all before the baby arrives, we're hoping by then she may be a bit bored of it all.

Rosie's new bedroom!

Hello,
sorry it has been a while. I've had a busy few weeks with parents evenings etc.
We've also been getting lots of sorting done ready for Rosie to move into her new bedroom with her new big girls bed. We took our shelves and corner desk out and gave them to Ant and Gareth (who have just moved into their gorgeous new house! congrats you two!) then put a new bed and Rosie's chest of drawers into the little bedroom. It is now all safe with a stair gate on her doorway and only soft toys so that if she does get out of bed in the night there is nothing dangerous for her in the room at all.
Last night was the first night we tried it out, she was amazing. It did take a good 40 mins or so to settle her and I did have to go up a few times and put her back in her bed. After a while it went quiet and I sneaked up to look, she'd fallen asleep in her bed, with her duvet on, soundo! She then slept through the night (only waking once breifly and settled down again within minutes) till 7am! GO ROSIE!

Well she is currently playing the garden with Tim, off for a walk this pm. We had a lovely walk last weekend with a few of tim's climbing friends from uni. They then all came back to ours for fish and chips, it was great. One of the couples has a 7 month old, another couple are expecting twins in June so there was a lot of baby chit chat!

so we are back from a week in Guernsey. Rosie had a fabulous time on the beach and we enjoyed seeing all the family. The plane journey was an experience, one which I would rather not repeat without Tim. I do wish my family lived somewhere a little more accessible by CAR!

Rosie had a good day today chilling out at home before nursery tomorrow, ant came round this morning and she had her friends round this pm.

here is my gorgeous girl, she is just amazing. We went down to visit laura today and William (3) and Holly (6 months), she loved Holly and really wanted to kiss and cuddle her - although she has got to learn she is much bigger and her cuddles need to be gentle, she can practise on Ant's baby before ours arrives!!!!
It is Ant's birthday on Monday so I have been baking a cake for her tomorrow, do you like it Ant??? Hopefully it will still be in one piece by the time it reaches you (it is tempting me right now!), if not there is always tescos round the corner to get a new one!

Above, ne and ant and our bumps! You wouldn't think I am due 6 weeks after her... my bump looks bigger already! Well my excuse is that it's my second and i have no tumym muscles!!!

Below are some photos of my gorgeous Rosie, she has had such a lovely few weeks - she has been so well and healthy and happy. Unfortunately she has just started coming down with a cold this morning or it could be teething...

We had a lovely weekend with Tony and Judith, I think they enjoyed seeing Rosie and how much she has grown. She adored seeing them and gave out lots of kisses and cuddles! I forgot to take photos but am excited to see some of the photos they took!

Here are a few photos of Rosie, it has been ages since I have blogged. I have been ill again, had a horrible cold which seemed to trigger off my morning sickness again. I am feeling queasy a lot of the time and still being sick sometimes too, not fun! Rosie then caught my cold and had a few days off nursery last week. She was so cuddly as she was feeling really sorry for herself. I made a nest out of her duvet and blankets in the top part of her pushchair. The photo above was taken today after I cut her fringe, smart or what? I think I did a good job!

She is feeling much better now and has had a lovely weekend playing with her baby friends. We went round to bay Harrison's yesterday and she played with her friends William, Baxter, Grace and Pheobe. Then today Rosie invited her friends Gracie and Lyla round. Lyla has a baby sister Erin, I enjoyed having cuddles - she is 4 months old. Rosie was so sweet with her and kept wanting to hold her hands, stroke her and kiss her. Very cute! I hope she is that nice to her baby brother/sister!

I have felt lots of kicks today which is lovely. Plus at my midwife appointment last week I got to hear the baby's heart beat.

Rosie's home corner

We had a very quiet new years eve and were all in bed soundo by 8.30pm. Tim is still ill, and really fighting this flu, it keeps coming back, wish I could help him. The cats stayed with us last night cause of the fireworks, they really felt it was christmas as they love it so much and are never usually allowed. Oscar snuggled up all night long, sweet!

We also took all our christmas decorations down yesterday, I know it is early but with tim being poorly and work in three days it just felt like the right time to get sorted, I now have a lot of work to do and have no idea how to get it done with tim being poorly in bed and rosie running round needing lots of attention.... oh dear. May be a bit of a stressful week, sounds like normal!

I set up Rosie a home corner with her new christmas presents, here are some photos, she loves it and is currently playing in it quite well on her own. She usually only lasts about 15-20 minutes playing on her own so am seizing the moment to quickly do my blog! Next break I get it's on with planning. boo. I do not like my job sometimes.

Exciting news and a lovely christmas

So here is baby smith number two! He/she is due 29th June 2011! We are thrilled and cannot wait for Rosie to become a big sister!

We've had a very busy christmas with mum, sam, grandma, grandy, ant and gareth. was a good one except for tim being really really poorly, I think it was the flu, my poor mum was suffering too but she battled on through the lemsips so she could see lots of rosie. I think everyone enjoyed watching rosie play and open all her presents, she was of course spoilt rotten! She had a bit of a cold so was quite grouchy up until boxing day then made a full recovery and was back on top form!

here are some photos, not in any order I'm afraid. first one is of tim plucking and gutting our pheasants. My mum and tim did it on christmas eve - maybe they caught their colds doing that out in the cold!

We took Rosie to see father Christmas today, she was not impressed, she cried! But he did give her a lovely present and we got a photo for her album! We had fun the rest of the day sledging in the garden and I built a snowman. Rosie hasn't napped at all today so has gone to bed so well, she is now soundo hopefully for a good nights sleep. Snow day today, for all of us! It was amazing, so so thick! really incredible!!!! I walked to tescos round the corner to get some cream then I baked some mince pies. Our friends Jo and her little girl Gracie came round to play as they live just round the corner. Was a brilliant day. Poor tim had to still work from home and was set up with his laptop, but at least he was safe at home with me! I just loved looking out this morning at 4am and seeing it covered! I just knew we'd have a few snow days off school! Brilliant!!! What a fabulous start to December. PLUS Rosie and I have put up our nativity scene and our christmas tree. She thinks it is very pretty!Enjoy the photos!

Winter sickness bugs and snow and ofsted.

Ok, so first of all sorry for not writing very often. It has been a busy few weeks. The following photos are a big mix of when we went down to Kent to see Tim's family, and the gorgeous snow we've got and this weekend with my Mum who came to visit.

Tim and I have had a horrible sickness bug, and it seems to have hit me quite badly - have been off work again today with it. Rang NHS direct and they say it can stay in our systems for two or more weeks! EW! I am drinking water but that is it. I feel pooey.

Then we get the dreaded phonecall today to say ofsted are back - yet again!!!! BUMMER!!!!! What a great start ti december, on the plus side by this weekend hopefully ofsted will be done, we will have more snow and I will be feeling better. Here is hoping for a very wonderful christmas ahead!

Happy Halloween!

Rosie and I had a fabulous week over half term. Am dreading going back to school tomorrow but has to be done... boo!
We had a great time with my mum (see her blog for more photos of Rosie), and we had a halloween party on friday. It was a lot of fun and all rosie's little friends came dressed as witches, evil fairies, spiders, pumpkins and a black cat! They all looked gorgeous.

well sorry for not writing much but Rosie is at that age where she is on the go constantly and hardly naps anymore, by the evening she has worn me out so much that I have no energy to do this blog. I will try when I get a moment!

My baby girl is growing up!

Rosie's hair is finally long enough to put in a mini top knot pony tail, cute or what? It looks hilarious in the mornings after she's been sleeping on it, she rolls around so much in the night her hair all stands on end in the morning and something has to be done to control it... bless her!

She has just started paying attention to the TV, only the baby channel when it plays music, she is hooked! Then when the music stops she looses attention.
Oh she does also like the farm animals, there is a good programme with all the farm animals, she always likes looking at the dog and the cows. She also 'moos' at the horses... oops!

Rosie in her party outfit, we went to Charlotte's birthday party on saturday evening, it was an early evening BBQ so rosie got to stay up late! She loved showing off to everyone.
Me and Rosie being silly with the camera, I was trying to get her to smile at the camera at the same time as me, it didn't work.

She is loving her boys at the moment, they tolerate her - not loving her just yet.
The weather is finally turning and is very cold and wet at the moment, Rosie and Daddy went for a walk. I hurt my foot last week so have been hobbling about a bit. It is on the mend now, however after a week of ofsted, doctors app (Rosis had a virus but is ok now) and my bad foot - I am already ready for the weekend!

Hi,

so this week has been a busy one since getting back from hols. i am trying to catch up with washing, getting our house all tidy and clean and getting ready for school next week.

rosie is being a total nightmare going to sleep at night, well i exaggerate really - she is in her cot settling herself but is whinging lots, i think her 3 new teeth are giving her problems bless her! poor thing. She came with me into school today to get my classroom ready, she enjoyed sitting on the children's chairs and playing with all the trays of school stuff, especially the calculators... is she a maths genious in the making???

Then this pm we spent the afternoon in Jo's garden with lots of our mummy baby friends. They are all now walking, the last two of our groups started this holiday so they are now all now on the move. Amazing to think this time last year they weren't even eating real food, not rolling over or sitting up yet and look at them now!!!! incredible!!!

well rosie is back in nursery tomorrow after two and a half weeks off, I hope she settles ok with not too many problems. I am back in school to keep going with my room and sorting stuff out for the children coming in next week. ARGH! I don't feel ready yet. Will I ever????

wow what a wonderful holiday we've just had, a fabulous week in guernsey and a few days in france. We had a great time playing in the sand with rosie, I had a few swims too and we all ate lots of yummy french food and drank lots of wine! Rosie was cuddled LOTS by everyone, all my family loved seeing her again and watching her run around everywhere!!! She adored the beach, running across the sand, watching us build sandcastles then knocking them down and paddling in the sea!

we had a lovely family get together with granny sue and grandpa sam, auntie ant and uncle areth, great grandma and great grandad trott, the cousins, 2nd cousins, friends of family etc etc was good fun!

rosie loved walking down our road to see the golden guernsey goat and the sheep, by the end of the week she could find her own way there, we just followed her as she led the way - so so cute. She amazes us everyday with her understanding of the world, she can follow any instruction now we give her, like going to fetch her shoes or passing something to someone else, she is amazingly intelligent we think!!!! ;-)
The West show was on during our time in guernsey, rosie loved seeing the cows and she now 'moooooooos' at them or when she sees photos of cows!

on the boat to herm island, we had a fabulous day trip out, rosie loved the boat and wanted to stand on the outside deck the whole journey! we went on the ealry milk boat but by the time we reached the beach it was gorgeous sunshine! i swam with mum and my cousin elaine - everyone else chickened out!

rosie and alana played so wonderfully at the beach, collecting shells and passing the shells to one another and putting them in their bucket! cute!!!!

Hi,

sorry I've not written in a while - the summer hols have been so busy but great! I love being busy. Lots of social events and Rosie as gorgeous as ever.

Above is the photo taken at Auntie Diane's the day after Ant's wedding, it was so hot so Diane got a washing up bowl and lovely cool water and some fun things to play with, Rosie took out each item then climbed on in! She enjoyed herself so much!!!

Below are photos of our messy play session at our house - we had all Rosie's friends round and we laid out a big shower curtain. We played with cooked spaghetti, baked beans, jelly and shreddies! Rosie and her friend Phoebe loved it, but all the others were a bit more sensible and wouldn't go near the mess.

We got her a Rockin Dog! She loves it!!!! It had money off in Babies R Us and I couldn't resist.

Rosie pulls this funny face all the time now, it's her new facial expression that she wants to share with everyone. So so cute! Makes me giggle!

And a much nicer mini smile below! Her hair has grown so much she can now wear a clip!!! yey!

Well we are getting very excited about our holiday to Guernsey. Looking forward to relaxing in the sun.... (wishful thinking!) I have been baking healthy muffins for Rosie - pineapple, carrot and ginger ones, they are so yummy!!!!!! I had better go and help her eat one!!!! :-)

So here are just a few snaps of Ant and Gareth's wedding day. Was a stunning venue, gorgeous weather and Ant (as you can see from the photos) looked BEAUTIFUL! Everyone had a fabulous day, Rosie behaved beautifully considering it was such a different kind of weekend to what she's used to. I can't wait till Mum sends me her photos on CD, I will put more on my blog then. I obviously didn't take many as I was on bridesmaid duties and Tim was in charge of Rosie! Brilliant day!

Rosie has been a menace today! Keeping me on my toes, she is running round everywhere now she's got the hang of it. Having a fab time with ant getting wedding bits done. Tim back from wales today off toe glasgow tomorrow! Me and rosie on our own for three days, it will be quiet after our busy few weeks! chat soon xxxx

Above is Rosie having trouble sleeping in this heat, she has had a really tough week - maybe teeth? maybe just the heat? who knows... my poor baby!

Below is Rosie getting more and more confident in cruising and walking, today she walked the furthest yet from the end of our bed to the landing! amazing!
We have had LOTS of paddling pool sessions in this heat, she loves it! And her little friends did too this week. I think we'll soon need a bigger pool!
Today Rosie and I picked up our work colleague Jenny, and we all went to visit Claire and her new baby Max. He is so cute and SO tiny, although he was born about twice the weight of Rosie at 9lbs. He looks tiny to me and Rosie looked MASSIVE next to him, and yes mum is DID get me broody!!!!!

Hello everyone,

Rosie and I are TOTALLY OVER EXCITED a Granny Sue is arriving tomorrow for a week. We are very excited. We've had a busy weekend full of paddling pool sessions, walks and generally chilling out. Rosie and I went swimming on Sunday morning and today we went to Twisting Tots and had baby Baxter and William round (plus mummies!), or should I say toddler babies!!!!

Oh and exciting new, Rosie is now taking steps!!! She can take 6 or 7 steps between two people, or between the sofa and me! Amazing to watch, Mum and I will try and get some photos this week!

What a lucky little girl having such a stunning garden to play in! At the moment she doesn't like grass so won't leave her play mat, bless her. She'll soon get used to it I'm sure.

My gorgeous little princess all ready to go to Baxter's Christening. Doesn't she look cute with her hair clip?
We got all dolled up, went to the Christening in a church in Ambergate, then we drove home and walked into Belper for the after party of cream teas! YUM!
Tim and I also went swimming in the morning, Rosie loved it!
We have now moved Rosie into her big girls room, it looks really great! I think it is now the best room in the house - lucky girl!

Here she is in her grown up pyjamas! She looks like such a grown up little girl in them, so sweet!
Here she is shape sorting, not sure she's got the idea of putting them in the jigsaw holes not on the cats!

WHAT A FANTASTIC WEEKEND!!!!

We just had the best fun ever, it was totally chilled out, lots of relaxing, paddling and white wine spritzers!
Rosie invited her little baby friends round yesterday for a paddling pool party, the babies splashed around, we ate ice creams and drank spritzers. Was heavenly and I feel so relaxed.
